We were looking for a martial art teacher for my son and daughter in elementary and preschool. We went and tried multiple martial art schools in the area and talked to multiple instructors. The thing that we liked most about the Kwon's was, in addition to teaching self defence, they teach the students values and character building. At the Kwon's they are taught a combination of martial art skills not just a specific technique. Master Kwon is very well educated, sincere and he instills respect and discipline among his students. The school is flexible in that it allows students to make up sessions in case they miss. Master Kwon even supports the community by offering 2 weeks of free classes to the kids in neighboring schools. Most off all both our kids are self motivated and look forward to each class. This school is a "Champion" school! The Kwon's are exceptional people! We had considered the martial art school up the street and I am so very thankful that my son chose Kwon's. My child reached the junior black belt level prior to our having to move out-of-state. It took several years but it was worth the time, money, and efforts. Our 8-year-old has been attending the after-school program at Kwon's Champion School for a year, and we couldn't be happier with his experience there. The owner and teachers place a lot of value on respect for parents, teachers, and self, and they expect the students to do the same. Master Eric and the other teachers are kind but demanding, and they're excellent at bringing out the best in our son and the other students. I can honestly say there is no other martial arts training like Hwardo. It will truly change your life it has for me and my son . We both have been attending classes for over 2 years and it's the best two days of the week for us . Master Eric is an amazing martial artist and instructor . We love this school. They help instill great values into the kids (education, self esteem, self discipline, family, and respect.) They have a very flexible training schedule. My son had to take a break from Martial Arts for the summer. He continually asked when he could return. Once he returned everyone said how much they missed him. It was a real confidence builder. My son has ADD/ADHD and this was one of the first places that "understood" him and worked with him. He's attended summer camps as well. Kwon's Championship School is amazing. I started training there two years ago, and now my son, and daughter train. I also plan on bringing my other child in as soon as he turns 5. The curriculum is smart in regards to the ability to defend oneself, and offers different options under which those skills should/could be applied. The training is very thorough. Kwon's Champion School is a wonderful environment with excellent training. I've recently moved schools and was greeted with a warm welcome into the school by Master Kwon and the other friendly instructors and students. My son recently transferred to Kwon's Champion school from another studio since we moved out of the area. Upon first arrival we were warmly greeted by Master Kwon. My son can be very shy but Master Kwon was extremely patient and warm immediately putting my son at ease. After taking advantage of their free trial classes we decide to enroll my son in the program. I attended Kwon's Champion School for only three months, which was not a reflection on the school; rather, a personal scheduling conflict. Master Kwon is an excellent teacher, and treated everyone with a great deal of respect.
