Took my 2016 Ford Edge in for an oil change. It has less than 50k miles and no issues. Just an oil change. First, they told me it needed new brake pads and would give me a 20% discount if they did it. I said no. Next day I took it to the Ford dealership to check the pads - nothing wrong with them. New in town from Southern California. Had to get my car inspected to switch car registration Texas state registration. The only thing wrong was I needed to replace the windshield wipers. THEY TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO CHANGE OUT 2 WIPERS. I'M STILL WAITING. read more

Would've given a ZERO it it was on option. Be careful if you drop off a car for a diagnostic check they will take it apart without permission. Cory the manager is rude and nasty when asking how much a repair will cost on the phone he wouldn't give an amount. When I told him I wanted to think about the repair he flipped out saying I owe them $200 labor. When I asked for for what it was a diagnostic check? He told me they TOOK MY ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN APART! I told him to put my car back together after the got so nasty! When I showed up they wouldn't let me have my car without the crazy cost so I called the cops. Because it was a civil matter they couldn't make them give me my car so I negotiated with another manager to pay $100 to get my car. This took nearly 2 hours. STAY AWAY! read more

I have been coming to Kwik Kar in Gainesville to get my oil changed, inspections,and tune ups since I first got my car in 2009. I have never had any complaints. The owners, which have changed since I've been coming here, have been consistently friendly and helpful. The waiting area is always clean, and there's fresh cookies, coffee, and iced water offered. The mechanics are incredibly sweet and competent. They have never tried to push any products on me. My car always feels healthier and happier when I leave. I am a happy customer. read more

I shopped around oil change places and picked this one because they were super friendly and the place seemed professional, with comparative prices. But then they totally scammed me! I paid for a tune-up and oil change, but my car came back running WORSE. When I asked them why, they said other work needed to be done that they don't do. I took my car to Pep Boys, who told me that I got HALF a tune-up!!! They only changed 3 of the six spark plugs and wires (apparently the other half are hard to get to, behind the engine). But even the "new" wires weren't even new! On top of it, my car overheated the next day because the radiator was bone dry (apparently there's a leak) but they supposedly checked the radiator fluid as part of the fluids check routine. I called them back to see what they would say and they just angrily denied their shoddy work and offered nothing for proof that they did the job correctly -- don't use these cheaters!!! read more

Ever since new ownership took over a couple of years ago, I've had really solid experiences here. They move fast and take the time to talk and answer questions. Prices are comparable to ever other oil change place. They even give recommendations to shops that do what they can't. The inside of the waiting room is very nice and there are clean bathrooms and a kids area. Really the main problem is the location on California that's always extremely busy and packed full of fast food restaurants that spit out a steady stream of traffic, but that's not their fault. I foolishly let these hacks do something besides a simple oil change.on my Jetta. They asked me about changing my spark plugs, a and assured me that they had them in stock. However, after they pulled one out, they found that the spark plugs were special order. To make matters worse, they damaged the plug they pulled to the point that it doesn't work, so I am left with a vehicle that won't run, and now I have to wait on the new plugs to arrive. Do not let these people touch you vehicle. read more

If you want anything besides an expensive oil change, don't bother coming here. They wouldn't do a brake job for me 2 hours before closing time because "it was too late" and "they were short handed" there was only one vehicle in the bay... Other times I have been there and they continuously pull parts off my vehicle to try and sell me more parts and services that I do not want. Beware. read more

Terrible business run by crooks. I took my car in for an inspection and Kwik Kar failed me over a bad E-Brake. I knew my E-brake was fine so i took it to a shop to get it checked and got proof on paper. So i took it to another inspection place the next day and they passed me with flying colors. So Kwik Kar was just trying to make a quick buck off of me to replace my E-brake when there was nothing wrong with it. I highly recommend that you do not do business with these people. I had my wife and kids with me too so the owner (bald guy) has no sympathy for people. He even charged me the $7 and put me as a fail in the state system so i could not take care of my car that day unless he replaced my E-brake. read more
