Then head to Tyreworld on Woodend Avenue (on the way to Speke from Hunts Cross). Its workforce is Tyreworld's real asset. They work quickly and have things done when they say they will. Better than that, if you're as clueless as I about cars, they are always honest. If you need four new tyres and a replacement back-box, they'll tell you and charge you a competitive price. If you need one new tyre, they'll tell you and charge a good price. If you've got a tyre that's slightly worn but will do for another six months, they'll tell you that too. Tyre checks are free and it's around £15 to have your tracking realigned, which is pretty good in my opinion. There's even a little cafe close by, so you don't have to shiver in the south Liverpool extremities.

One of the staff was rude and obnoxious. After refitting my…read morewheel, he was about to fit the wheel trim. I asked if he was going to check the torque of the bolts with a torque wrench. He rudely replied " I don't need one" I informed him I was a qualified mechanic & he did need to torque wrench to ensure the wheel did not come loose. Once again he bluntly responded, "I have worked here for a year and I have never used one, we don't even have one!" If you use this Garage, please have a qualified person check if your wheels are loose.
