I selected to do the "Ombré eyebrows" It was an amazing process from start to finish. She was extremely professional but also had a great vibe and aura about her. I booked Shawana to do my brows…read more She had done them originally abt 4 yrs prior when she was new-new to microblading be4 she even fully moved to AZ and set up shop so I felt comfortable asking her this time. Because of covid, I waited several months, which was fine. I set up with Shawana to have my brows done as the first apt of her day (she was going to be in SD) at 12:40am. The day be4 Shawana called to say she needed to push back to 2pm which irritated me but I said okay. The morn of my appt, Shawana called me at 8am crying about not being able to make it to the 2pm cause she was stuck in AZ & her flight was pushed back. She asked me if I could come at 5pm. I'm now definitely not happy because I'd already planned my day/weekend around this appointment. So, 5pm comes, I show up at the spot and find Shawanna working on another girl who definitely had already been on her table a good 2 hours!! I felt so disrespected. Shawanna lied to me w/ no regard for my time. She didn't finish the girl on her table until 6:48pm. She started on my brows a little after 7pm!! She drew the brows on and when I looked at them I noticed she had gone much thicker than I wanted. I also pointed out 4 distinct areas that I wanted her to fix. I lay back down & she numbs me and I assume she corrected the issues I pointed out. I had zero reason to assume otherwise. Shawanna doesn't finish my brows until after 1am. I look at them, and I say, I am not sure it looks like you corrected those areas. She assured me she had and that it was just swollen now. She starts lamenting about not having a ride to her grandma's house and calling a car service. I'm tired but being nice I offered to drop her off. It takes her about 35 to pack up her stuff. Once I get her to her grandma's Shawanna doesn't get out the car. I don't want to be rude so I chat. She then hints about being hungry & asked me to take her to McDonald's down the road. I'm being nice, so I do. Get back to her grandmas and she still does not jump out. Another 20 minutes and I am literally saying I'm tired, I got to go sleep. Once I get home, of course I look very closely at my brows and see that Shawanna had not corrected any of the issues I pointed out to her. The next day or so I contact her and tell her this. I ask her to fix them. She tries to tell me its because they are still swollen. Its not. That I have to wait a few weeks. Why? When I know they are not right. When I say as much to her, she tells me that "no one's brows are even". And that I can " draw them in" which is stupid. If I wanted to draw in my brows, I'd not have just paid her $550 dollars. A professional permanent MUA with the most excuses she can find for crappy work. When I don't give up and continue to ask her to fix her work she ask me for a picture, she sends me back a picture with lines drawn across the brows as if that's even. It's my face. They are not even, period. She then sends me a long message attempting to make herself into a victim- i truly hurt her feelings, she says because she assumed that all my contact was because she did a bad job. Yes! I am saying my brows are not good... i.e. bad job. She now has an attitude with me. Finally she says she's coming back and will schedule me in to work on my brows. I respond to that to say, you need to "fix" my brows since you did not do as I asked in the first place. Shawanna was delusional thinking I should pay her another $150 for her to fix what she didn't do. When she realized I wasn't going to pay her to fix her mistakes she got nasty. Shawanna started speaking so nasty and rude to me. The new appt was set for 1pm. The day before, Shawanna started attempting to change the time again. I told her no. The time was 1pm. Not changing it. She got another level of rude and disrespectful said there was now a mandatory new contract I had to sign. This goes on and on, but suffice it to say, at this point I was done-done with her. No, I didn't sign her petty new contract. Yes, she did attempt to make the 1pm appointment that I had already decided I was not going to. Do I care at this point that her time was wasted? NOPE. I had known her for over 4 years.
