Tiffany is incredibly warm, open, and thorough, the kind of practitioner who immediately makes you feel safe and seen. The session itself was both calming and surprisingly powerful. I live with multiple chronic illnesses, as well as life‑altering trauma and grief, and exploring energy healing instead of traditional medicine was completely new for me. But what I experienced in this session reached places that years of traditional therapy never touched. It was intense in the most grounding, soothing way, hard to fully explain, but deeply felt. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and genuinely supported. I wholeheartedly recommend Tiffany and will absolutely continue seeing her. One thing I'd like to mention, Google Maps will take you to the back of the building, make sure to enter from the front.

In my mind, I was equating the word "core" to be "the basics, the core program" you know. Holy smokes!!! What I got was 60 minutes of working on my core. Killer. In the very best way. I moved to Maine a few months ago and I am lucky enough to live very close to Maine Hatha Yoga. I'm…read morenot sure when they changed their name from Maine Bikram Yoga to Maine Hatha Yoga, but I love that they are no longer affiliated with the Bikram name. I'm not really into supporting Bikram Choudhury and the profits he makes off of 26 yoga poses (go ahead and google him). I've taken the Classic Hot 26 class with Michael and Angela, Fusion Yoga with Kristen, and Yin Yoga with Robin. I have enjoyed every class so far. For the classic hot 26, I love that the teachers I have had so far have emphasized different postures and have their own ways of teaching. This keeps it a little more interesting. I used to get so bored and annoyed with the "normal" Bikram script at other studios. I LOVE the Fusion yoga class because it is a different type of challenge and it mixes things up. Also, the music is great. While I was a little overwhelmed that this yoga studio is actually HOT, I've come to really appreciate it over the last month or so. They seem to keep the temperature very stable, which didn't always happen at other studios I've been to. Another thing that is different about this studio is that they don't spend a lot of time correcting people and complementing students during the classic classes. I've found that I now pay more attention to my postures and try to make the corrections myself. Of course, the teachers do make it a point to correct you and you are way out of alignment or you are doing something unsafe. I also appreciate the setup of the studio. I know this might sound like a tiny detail, but I really like how they can adjust the lights at different points during the classes. The first studio I ever went to would turn off the lights completely after the standing series and then I would fall asleep for a few minutes...which isn't ideal in the middle of a work out. Everyone is friendly and I haven't encountered anyone who has the elitist attitude of "oooh I practice yoga so I'm better than you" personality yet. Maybe that was just a vibe I got when I lived in the DC area? Just a little advice for anyone who has never done hot yoga, even if you feel like you are dying...just stay in the room. It makes a huge difference. Each time it gets a little easier!

We…read moreall live in Portland, but we are always looking for new activities to do in the area, and this one definitely did not disappoint. The brew pub tour mixed two of our favorite activities-beer and running. I've never gone for a run through the downtown/Old Port area so it was great to have someone leading us who knew exactly where they were going, and knew enough about the alcohol/beer history to keep us entertained along the way. John also knows a lot about the breweries that are on the tour so it was great to hear information about the beers before we even got to the breweries. The route for the tour is set up perfectly, and John is great about staying at a pace that is comfortable for the group so we enjoyed ourselves (literally) every step of the way. Not only is the tour itself a ton of fun, but Melanie and John are very personable and a lot of fun to chat with. The breweries that we went to were Rising Tide, Urban Farm Fermentory, and Sebago. I had never been to Rising Tide or UFF and both tastings were very interesting and very delicious! As I mentioned above, John can tell you a lot about the beers and ciders from past experience and personal knowledge, and the brewery employees are very knowledgeable as well. They answered all of our questions and took the time to tell us what we wanted to know. Sebago was the last stop which was perfect; we got a snack, and got to sit and relax and try four different kinds of beer before heading back. John was our tasting guide at Sebago, and told us about each beer that we were trying which gave it a nice personal touch. I really can not say enough good things about this tour; we had such a great time! This is a great activity to do with family and friends, and a good way to shake up a normal brew pub tour. Not only did we get to experience a new part of Portland, but we got to sneak some exercise and fresh air into the experience (without it actually feeling like exercise)! In addition, if you decide to make a purchase along the way the brewery will hold on to your purchase so that you can come back after and pick it up. I would definitely love to do this again. They offer customized tours so we are thinking about doing a tour for a birthday party. I would highly recommend Port City Running Tours for anyone who lives in or is visiting Portland. You will get to experience some of the best of Portland; the scenery, beer, people, and history, all in one stop, and you will have so much fun while doing it.
