It is a Sunday in October and I was in need of a haircut. Sunday is notorious for barbers and hairdressers being closed. Unless you pay for a special opening there will be few that are available and those that are will be packed. Trust me I tried a few.
But wait, what is that white & red barbershop looking closed, but has an open sign? It is Kusadasi Turkish Barber.
It has classic (may I say vintage?) barber chairs. In leather, with a headrest. Hell yeah! You can tell he is just settling in. I started with a sheer and cut. This was done swift and expertly. He uses the hairdryer to blow away stray hairs, not many do these days. Whilst being worked upon I noticed all the Hot Shave pariphenelia; so I asked if I could have one. This was sooooo gooood! I recommend this to any guy! You do need to get Sweeney Todd out of your mind, but it is a really great way of getting a shave!
Smooth as a baby's behind I was very satisfied.
Not too expensive either, for a cut and a hot shave £17. read more
