I've been to plenty of Kurt Geigers in my life. Heck, I've even worked in one of them, many moons ago. And I can confirm as an insider that each and every member of staff is trained up to within an inch of their life about shoes, shapes, materials, soles and uppers, buckles and laces, protection, all the mod cons. All the branches I've visited are designed well but this one, as confirmed by other Yelpers... has an entire WALL of shoes!
Yep, the interior decor of this place is rather swish. Very well put together, very easy on the eye. As I've affirmed the staff are marvellously helpful, and while Mr Geiger doesn't always provide exactly what I'm looking for (what on earth is with all the PVC thigh-highs and dominatrix strappies?) there's always something to catch my eye, be it a classic biker boot, a cute moccasin loafer, a lace-up pump or a nifty shoe boot. And of course the location in the pantheon of high-end high street retailing, the Met Quarter, is just about perfect. read more
