Kurt Delsack helped me with a 2015 Chevrolet Volt that was experiencing the issue in Chevy bulletin PI0795 ("Clunk Noise When Applying Park Brake" issue).
After attempting to have the issues fixed at the dealer multiple times without a reliable fix, I attempted to pursue a lemon law buyback on my own with the Volt Advisory team and through a BBB claim. I was told by GM that the issue was not covered by CA's lemon laws and that they could only offer me an extended warranty as a courtesy. I also sent a letter to GM with a final chance to repair the issue, but did not receive a reply.
At that point, I got in touch with Kurt. From the beginning Kurt was professional, knowledgeable, and was able to tell me what I might expect from the buyback process.
Kurt was able to successfully navigate the lemon law procedure where I had failed. He promptly sent a clear, concise demand letter and copied me on the communications. Whenever I had questions, I don't recall ever waiting more than a couple hours for an email reply or call back from his office.
Result:
Kurt was able to negotiate a buyback of my vehicle for the full purchase price including tax (the amount I wrote a check for when I bought the vehicle) MINUS a mileage deduction (calculated as the number of miles when the vehicle started having the issue divided by 120,000 miles, multiplied by the purchase price). This is especially impressive because I put over 10,000 miles on the vehicle after the issue began. In the end, nearly 95% of my full purchase price was recovered, and I owned the vehicle for about a year. No deductions were taken for any wear on the vehicle. Because CA's lemon laws allow for an attorney to charge a reasonable fee in addition to the buyback amount, Kurt's fees were taken as a separate amount paid by GM only; I did not pay anything to Kurt for his services, and my buyback amount was not any less for using Kurt's services.
I received a check from Kurt's office two days after giving my vehicle back to GM; the entire process took about 100 days from my first contact with Kurt.
