As other reviewers point out, service here is extremely efficient, with your drinks order being…read moretaken basically as soon as you sit down and food orders also being taken and processed quickly. I didn't feel rushed though, and bf loved the immediate arrival of beer to his hand. Food wise, I was tempted by a few things on this interesting Bangladeshi menu and got some helpful and decisive advice from the waiter. In the end I want for the chicken thawa which wasn't particularly unusual in flavour (I chickened out of the satkora fruit option which I will get next time) but very well done and a very generous portion. I thought the aloo gobi was the best I've had in ages. We also tried onion bhajis and I would say Blue Nile is slightly beaten out by Stockport rival Last Monsoon in terms of flavour and crispiness. Bf had lamb handi which he really enjoyed - the meat was tender and not at all stringy or dry. Definitely recommend if you like lamb. As above service is very good and it's a nice restaurant with some cool tropical fish tanks in the walls. Kind of reminds me of the Purple Pakora in Poynton. Overall this is yet another good restaurant in the independent Hazel Grove scene (we commented on Friday that the chains have not moved in here, which is maybe why there is such diversity and quality) and I will be sure to come back.

The staff at Tiffin were horrifically rude and basically made out that it was my error and that I myself placed the order through Yo Yo. I did no such thing. I've never even heard of such a company till just now. Staff refuse to accept that it is an error on their part and the fact it was their own website that took the payment through Yo Yo. Why would I use a company that firstly ive never heard of and secondly doesn't even exist? I ordered on Tiffins own website via Google! Staff shouting over me down the phone!!! So basically just did £40 in for a plate of fresh air! Crooks! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Absolutely disgusted!

I have been completely spoilt by the garam masala in Cheadle hulme so it is always difficult to find somewhere that is comparable in quality !! Pink garlic were on the just eat app and had quite a few positive reviews so we gave it a shot. Prices were really good but they also had an offer on for money off when u spent over £20. The food came quickly, and was of good quality. The delivery man was very friendly and the meal was still piping hot when it got to our door. You could tell the meals were freshly cooked with fresh veg and the meat was not fatty and well cooked. Even though this place is not quite as good as the garam masala, Considering the price (quite a bit cheaper!!) we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavour. We have only tried one Indian takeaway in hazel grove so far, but we would be happy to make this our local !!

The quantities are very generous, I've not been able to finish any of the meals I've had from here even though they've been very tasty. Unless you've got a huge appetite, you could skip the starter- the main course will be enough. Delivery times tend to be pretty good- sometimes in half an hour, even on a Saturday night.
Came here with some people from the office for one of their favorite Indian restaurants. Very…read moreclean, what I would call upscale restaurant, excellent staff and service, very elegant. Five of us from work were treated here for dinner where we started with a large flatbread hanging from a hook, and starter plates that were fantastic offering various meats and sauces, which were packed with flavor and spices just what I was looking for. When did up splitting various entrées of lamb, chicken, veggies with peppers and onions, multiple choices of rice, which were all fantastic, just a plethora of food that filled us to the brim, and they even gave us plenty to take to a colleague who is stuck in meetings. Started with a couple of pints of beer, dug into the starters which were crunchy, meaty delicious I just can't name them all. Entrées came in bowls and platters that we all passed around and shared for some of the best Indian food we've had in town. Very tasty, excellent service, highly recommend.!!!
The Purple Pakora is indeed very purple and also has awesome water features down one whole side…read morewhich are kind of like screen savers except they involve actual water. Service is very attentive, we were even asked if we'd prefer to sit away from a potentially squalling baby (in the end it was v quiet). Thoughtful though all it's certainly a very family friendly restaurant as befits this suburban area. One of my favourite moments of the evening was a young boy coming in, running over to the manager and flinging his arms around him. I have never seen that in a restaurant before, and I go to a lot of restaurants! Ok so food. My zeera (cumin) chicken had an absolutely fantastic sauce - a light and fragrant flavour that was beautifully executed although tasted slightly less of cumin than I expected. Similarly my bf's pathia has a very interesting lemon flavour - the manager was again thoughtful in explaining it also has a slightly bitter taste because the rind as well as the flesh of the fruit is used in its preparation. We both liked it. Breads are served on what bf described as 'an abattoir for naans' i.e. a giant upright skewer type contraption. Unless you get a peshwari in which case you don't get to play (somebody was disappointed). Not somewhere on the Jaipur Palace level that I'd urge travel to, but one of the best restaurants in Poynton.

Humaira's Tiffin in on the main a6 just before Sainsburys in Hazel Grove heading towards Stockport…read more My Dad had seen it pop up and, having really enjoyed the Indian Tiffin Room, was desperate to see how it would compare. We popped in for a menu and perused it in the local pub before deciding to dine. The place was completely empty we were the only ones in there throughout our whole meal. It was a Sunday during the World Cup mind so I didn't let this put us off. The food is nothing like Indian Tiffin Room, let me just put that out there. This is more traditional Bangladesh cooking and boy do they do it well. We started with madhu malai chicken starter and some onion bhajis. The chicken had been moistened by the yogurt and the bhajis were lovely... and there were loads of them! For mains we went for the mixed grill (which was huge!) the lamb stir fry and the podina chicken with a couple of portions of rice. The amount of which arrived was pretty obscene and we left loads because we were totally stuffed. The food was prepared beautifully and serve was with a smile at all times. We had a good chat with the owner who said he owned the Spice Tower in Marple and this was a new venture for him. You can't buy alcohol at Humaira's Tiffin but there is no corkage charge when you bring your own. Our meal came to £40 with 20% off due to it being a Sunday. Our leftovers were packed up for us to take home with no fuss ready for lunch the next day. I can't wait to go back, in fact, they deliver to my parent's house. I think I'll be staying lots over the next few weekends!
