I was seated pretty quickly, but it took a long time for the server to take my order. I tried the spicy buff's momos and a chicken thalis platter. It was plenty of food, but I'm glad I ordered both - just for the variety. The momos were good. I liked their spice level, but I thought they were too sauced up. The thalis had a variety of flavors, but aside from there rice, there wasn't enough chicken or dal bhat. Tip maybe go with the boneless chicken for the same price - hopefully you can get more that way. Aside from that, I found it to be a good place.

Whilst in Sydney, we decided it was time to try Nepalese food. After researching online, Muglan…read moreNepalese & Indian food was highly rated. We were greeted by friendly staff and quickly seated. The interior is decorated with a mix of authentic Asian / Indian as well as the music. We tried the spicy chilli momo, dumplings tossed in hot chili sauce 5/5 very spicy but delicious. The garlic naan was also excellent. For entrees we ordered the chicken madras and a signature dish rato bhale tarkari accompanied by some pulau rice. The rato bhale was great 5/5, the chicken madras underwhelmed 3/5. Yes, we will return and try other dishes.

I'd visit any day though. This is a decent-sized, sit-down place in a nice neighborhood, but offers great value; you can easily order a dosa or other main dish plus some delicious appetizers for less then you would have spent for a single dish most of urban Sydney, whose food scene I have not been that impressed with. And frankly, it wasn't as sketch as some comparable restaurants I've visited farther north in this country. And the if you haven't tried the vegetarian delights of south India, this will be a good introduction as they did the basics well. The potato filling in my savory crepe was snappy and delicious, and were their spicy samosas, generous breads, and an impressive sizzling cheese dish. I wish I had tried a thali (sampler platter), but it was hard enough finishing what I got even with a group. If I were back in town again, this would be close to a must-visit.

I adore this place. Even though I am not a vegetarian, I happily come here every chance I get. And not just in Sydney. My favorite dish is the Punjab platter, but the dosas are also excellent. I haven't had a dish here that I didn't think was exceptional. The prices are good and it can be hard to find a table, but it is so worth it. And please don't confuse this with the other Indian place called "Maya" something that is directly across the street, it is decidedly not the same (not even close, actually). This one is the bomb.

I hate rating establishments this low but here we go. The butter chicken was super sweet and soupy…read more I can't get over why butter chicken would taste as sweet as maple syrup The basmati rice was not even a good grain and was like hard and really terrible. The garlic cheese naan was ALSO sweet!?! It's a bunch of butter with like Parmesan sprinkles so there is no real cheese. The samosas were unnecessarily spicy aughh. In my opinion the pictures were deceiving. The flavor of the chicken was good but that's about it. Sadly I did Uber eats this, spent a whole lot of money and it was disappointing, none of my food was good.

The curries here are super tasty and good value. I know they're fresh because I've seen the owners…read morereplenish the bain-marie with new batches of curries a few times. There's also none of that telltale oily film that seals over the top when somethings been sitting there for a while. Plenty of options to keep vegos happy and you can choose to have rice or extra curry, which most places are usually too stingy to do. For something completely outrageous, get a load of the Chef Special Indian kebab. Your choice of curries, plus some onion bhaji and other fried Indian snacks, all wrapped up in a thick naan bread. Just mad. And it's only $6. The Indian Home Diner guys are friendly and open long hours, including long weekend 'til 2am. I really can't think of a reason why I'd give them any less than 5 stars.
