    For Pismo Beach Office (doesn't seem to have a dedicated page here):…read more The front desk were friendly the day of my appointment, although the first time I went in under referral from my physician it took a couple of calls on their part and a few "are you sure you're in the right office" exchanges to finally find that I was, indeed, referred to this office by my physician. Wait time was quick, I got into the room ahead of my appointment time, but didn't see the PA until after the scheduled time (I believe about 15 minutes). The assistant (blood pressure, initial screening questions) was moderately friendly and had decent to good bedside manner. All instructions were given clearly and quickly (akin to the airline attendants' seat belt instructions). The room itself was well lit and seemed well maintained, nothing stood out as unsightly or anything like that. Dr. McKinzie was the PA on duty for this appointment, and she was professional. She conducted the requested evaluation and dictated to the assistant for chart notes. Other than a few direct questions to me, everything seemed very straightforward and businesslike. Like many offices, there isn't much time to discuss individual care other than addressing the specific problem for that specific day, and the exam only lasted about fifteen minutes. She did address my initial concerns and reasons for the appointment, and uncovered a few things I didn't know that we agreed to follow up on. Overall, while I wish there was more time to establish rapport between doctor and patient, I cannot complain as it seems standard practice for all medical offices these days. She agreed to follow up (dependent upon insurance clearance) in a few months for the additional issues found. As far as I know my insurance was accepted, although I am sure to find out if it is not. As of now, right after the appointment, the Pismo office has accepted Cen-Cal, but will update if I find this is not the case. Prescriptions from the appointment were phoned to my preferred pharmacy promptly, so good points for that. Overall, this experience has been positive and I would not hesitate to return for follow up appointments.

It needed some extra work so I was told to come back without charge. I did come back, and was told I would need to pay the same amount as last time. I didn't end up needed to pay, but it was very embarrassing for me when a new doctor had to go ask about it. Then the PA comes out and tells me any further removal will cost. I knew that. It was humiliating.

That afternoon I went to Denise for a facial and returned to my doctor's office the next day. One of the nurses kept staring at me and she finally asked me if I had something done since the previous day. I told her that I did have a facial and she was so impressed with the difference that just one treatment had made. Denise is so kind, and genuinely cares about her clients. During the Covid shut down she offered home kits for her clients, for peels. Denise is extremely knowledgeable about skincare, she's a truly caring person, and her calm nature is part of what makes the experience something to look forward to.

She regularly had breakouts boils acne and acne scars. Since meeting with Denise and going thru a regimen of her awesome products and facials and learning about over the counter products and make-up and now following up with a maintenance program has been worth all the effort and money. Toris face just glows with happiness of being taken care of. I also use her products and periodically get facials it's a wonderful treat and my skin looks just as healthy and youthful. When Dr…read moreLebreque sold his practice, (a couple of years ago when this mess started) the new firm dropped my insurance BCBS and the new firm didn't inform me until after a scheduled outpatient surgery and was charged for the entire surgery. Elizabeth, the office manager (who is either overworked or just a terrible office manager) and their billing department (who are no help), after a year of constantly working this issue (by me, the patient), I ended up paying half of my surgery which I was told was supposed to be my co-pay. When I inquired with my insurance, I should have paid about half of what I ended up paying. Elizabeth assured me that going forward, that I would only be charged my insurance co-pay even through they had yet to re-establish this insurance. My next appointment , I paid my co-pay and made my next appointment for today (the second appointment). I was asked if I wanted to pay for my outstanding balance (4x my Co-pay) for my prior appointment. Long story short, I paid my outstanding balance and walked out of the office. Office staff are unable to help you and billing department are obviously contractors that treat you like a number. I think 1 star is too much.

    Good experience at this clinic…read more At first, I called the 805 number but surprisingly, it was actually a far-away (Central America) call center. The girl spoke perfect English and scheduled me no problem. The clinic had availability within 2 days which is wild to me. Most other places I called were booked 2 even 3 months out. I get there 10 minutes early, plenty of parking, easy to find, (entrance is in the south-facing door) and the front counter receptionist Amber is very nice! Check-in process was smooth and within 5 minutes they had me in the room asking me questions and concerns. Logan, Rikki and the rest of the staff were so nice. My consult went ok, very fast and although they were ready to administer treatment/the procedure right then, I said I wanted to think about it and prep myself. The staff had an iPad tablet right there and scheduled me for treatment which happened to be available the next day! I accepted. The treatment went quick! They do not mess around! They worked on me and left the room. But I looked in the wall mirror and wanted a little bit more work done. Staff (Yessi) went and had Logan come back in and he did honor my request with no question. Very happy with the experience. They took my credit card payment on the spot, emailed and texted me the receipt, and there is a patient portal you can have with all the details, documents, appointment scheduling, results, etc etc. Very pleased. Thank you Amber, Logan, and Rikki!!!!!
