I was kinda impressed, so all you can eat restaurants they make in big quantities and they taste so so, but here? The "Wong Tong" soup is so much better, they have like 5-6 types of sushi's ( not a lot ) but they are soooo good. They have a few / lot of things that are fried, tip: don't eat to much because it makes you "sick" after a while ( personnel experience ) I tried to eat not a lot but a little bit of everything. What they offer: -fried food -more "Asian" type of food, noodles and soups -soups -quite a few dessert types -salads / fruit bar -rice and medium "breakfast potatoes" And a whole lot more. Didn't take the best pictures, but at least you will have an idea how it looks like. I gave it 3 stars because it's a good restaurant, it just not a restaurant that I was "visually" impressed by. The food was amazing so 3/5 stars. My experience was great, just didn't based my review on my servers "humour" because she looked "annoyed / tired of working their" kinda face: but she did her job well. Gave us lots of water, took our dishes when we were done, yeah nice. Really recommend this place! I will certainly go more often and try the breakfast menu to next tim!

However, The rice was standard fast Chinese food.. tasted ok but not THE BEST I've had.. it just was not very soft like I like it and the fried calamari entree was also hard and not the most fresh. The delivery came very quick (15min and the guy was at my door) so I was a bit worried as some of my food might have been reheated and thats why it was not so fresh .. not everything was bad just the rice and calamari was disappointing Prices are fair and not overly priced so if you're looking for something fast but lacks a lil bit of quality for a good price this place is great ... One important thing to note: this place is cash‑only, and there's an ATM right at the entrance. That was literally the first thing the employee told us when we walked in, which felt a bit off‑putting. The dumplings themselves were great, and we ordered beers to go with the meal. However, the payment experience was not good. He quoted the total as 70 CAD and told us that was 62 USD since we said we had USD. When we calculated it ourselves, it came out to 49 USD. After we pointed that out, he claimed the "foreign transaction fees go up and down with inflation," which didn't make sense. It felt like we were almost being overcharged. So we ended up getting CAD from the ATM machine outside and paid him, however, we didn't appreciate his dishonesty and felt like he was trying to scam us.

Luckily, i was able to snag the last box of Thin Mints and a box of Trefoils, so I am not complaining. Since I was already at the location, I thought why not try the restaurant. I did not know what to expect and honestly I did not factor in that it was a buffet. Coming from Miami originally (though currently living in Saint Albans), I was lucky (no pun intended ^_^) to have had some really great buffets to experience in Miami, FL (ie. Kyojin in South Miami, Canton in Coral Gables, POC in Coral Gables) but I was craving Chinese food as I had not had any in so long. Lucky Buffet did not disappoint. They had sit down dining service as well as to go service. I am not sure if they deliver. If they did that would be amazing! But it was pretty busy which is always a good sign for a restaurant because it means they are doing good business and there is a demand for it. I ended up eating with my eyes and then my stomach because i filled 2 to go containers with a variety/assortment of foods like General Tso's chicken (my favorite), chicken & broccoli, crunchy and flavorful snap peas, crispy wonton noodles, very breaded/fluffy battered chicken tenders, and some vegetable fried rice that i doused in the General Tsao's sauce). I also got some of these Buttered scalloped potatoes which O-M-G were so darn good. They also had sliced onion mixed into the batch and no complaints there. It came out to a total of $38. There was a sign that said it was like $7.95 for pound of food and I figured I would splurge since I am not sure when I would be back there. I walk everywhere and in the cold, frigid temps, it's a bit cumbersome (and dangerous) to walk with food like that over icy sidewalks and slushy-muddy snow. I can't speak to what dining in would be like, but it seemed pretty decent. There was a steady flow of customers coming in and out which is always good to see. I also liked how they had fortune cookies sitting on display in the middle of the place for guests to take. I took about six lol I can't resist a good old fashioned fortune cookie:) If I ever happen to be walking by again, I would consider it again, but it is a lot of food. So you have to go on an empty stomach and also try not to over indulge or else you will have tummy issues. Chinese food is notorious for having MSG, but I am not sure if they use that there. I will say that they had a pretty decent dessert bar and ice cream selection. The people of Saint Albans are "lucky" to have this restaurant in their midsts. Also parking is pretty ample for those that have vehicles and the restaurant itself seemed pretty clean and well organized. If buffet items got low, they immediately would replenish them. The food was hot and ready to go. A plus was the little keychains being sold at the front at the counter. I had to get a Stitch one because I love the Stitch character. He's so cute ^_^ They also had a Spiderman one and Hello Kitty one so any fans of those characters would be pleasantly surprises and amused to see them being sold there once you check out and pay. Highly recommend this place.
