Kumrucu Sevki is synonymous with kumru. For those wondering what this beloved fast food is - it is sort of a sandwich prepared with a sesame bun similar to traditional simit. Originated from the Aegean region.
As long as you don't expect to get what you could get 5 years ago quality wise, Sevki makes decent kumru. It won't be the best one you eat but won't be the worse one either. They have many branches all over Cesme due to the popularity they have managed to capitalize on. The quality was admittedly higher and the food tasted a lot better when they served only in one location.
They used to be the go to place, at this point nostalgia is what keeps us going. I'd recommend that you taste theirs but still try others. You just might find an underdog that is what Sevki was years ago.
And for kumpir - stuffed baked potatoes, find somewhere else. They undersell so the mezes they use stay out a lot longer. read more
