Struggling with keeping up with our daughters school standards in Kindergarten we were searching…read morefor any program that could help. Her school offered tutoring but in no way shape or form could present the curriculum or plan. Her confidence was low and every parent teacher meeting left us feeling helpless since we were doing everything we could to boost skills at home. A close friend of our reccomended Kumon at the Tower Shops after hearing our daughter was doing summer school instead of camp. We started her immediatly the next week and we were astonished at the mountains she had overcome during the summer. When the school year began she was not even phased at her classwork and in our household Kumon became mandatory before homework. You know "eat the frog first" kind of thinking. It is a lot of work on top of homework and at times we were concerned if she was working to hard. Than she started getting faster and faster at mathematical computations. She began reading harder and harder books. Her handwriting improved. Most importantly she became disciplined all her own. Looking forward to her next Kumon buck and getting dissapointed when she had not completed the work. She was confident and assertive in her classroom. The owner requires a sit down every six months and has an open appointment policy whenever we feel as though our daughter is struggling. She definitely a no nonsense woman but was always very helpful when we needed. As an unconventional family with mt husband being asian and adopted our latin and caucasian daughter we never experienced racism? The owner was nothing but helpful and even worked hard to find another Kumon in our new location. Thank you Mrs. Ireen and all the tutors that helped our daughter get to where shes at. Were happy to say our daughter is a Kumon kid!

There is little to no communication between parents and staff. This place is ALL about $$$ not academics. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was the fact that she thinks that is OK to charge for services not rendered during COVID-19 pandemic. The governor ordered a "stay at home" and we couldn't leave the house. She still charges us because that's their policy. Even during a pandemic it's all about $$$$ Shame on you!!! I def don't recommend this location to anyone!!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this summer camp! My kids are 10 and 5 years old, and…read moreevery single morning they wake up excited to go. As a parent, there is nothing better than seeing your children genuinely happy and looking forward to their day. Every week has a new theme, and the staff does an amazing job planning activities that match it. The older kids get to enjoy fun field trips, while the younger children have exciting indoor field trips that are perfect for their age. They also have water play on different days, which is always something my kids look forward to. One thing I really appreciate is that all of the activities and games are age-appropriate. I also love that each age group has its own playground designed for their developmental stage, while still having opportunities to spend time outdoors and enjoy playing together. What stands out the most to me is the camp's commitment to keeping the older kids active. In today's world, many older children would happily spend all day indoors on electronics or just hanging out. While the camp gives them time to socialize and enjoy indoor activities, they also make sure they spend about an hour outside each day. They play games, get some sunshine, and stay active. They also have an indoor gym and a coach, and have fun exercising. I truly appreciate that balance because it's so important for their physical well being. The staff also does an excellent job making hydration a priority. The children are reminded to bring their water bottles outside, teachers always have pitchers of water and cups available, and there's even a water fountain near the playgrounds. It's reassuring to know they are constantly looking out for the kids' health and safety, especially during the summer heat. Most importantly, my children come home smiling every day with new stories, and wonderful memories. Thank you to all of the amazing directors, teachers, and staff for creating such a fun, safe, engaging, and caring environment. I highly recommend this camp to any family looking for a place where their children will be happy, active, and well cared for!

I have had a phenomenal experience with WOKA. I actually left to put my son in a different "highly…read moreregarded" school in Doral for Kindergarten. It was a disaster. They teacher was PISSED that my son could read fluently, had great comprehension and mastery of the subjects, and he was CONSTANTLY picked on by his teacher. This was the result of the superior and very aggressive curriculum at WOKA - in VPK, he had already finished the Kinder curriculum, and as such was more prepared than probably any other student at the new school. He was accused of working too fast then being disruptive, etc. It was especially troubling because he was NEVER a nuisance in his whole little life!!!! I was miserable, and he was too. I pulled him out and brought him back to WOKA, and as a testament to how much I believe in your school, GLADLY paid full price for his education... a worthy investment. I returned with tears in my eyes, and Adelina welcomed us back with open arms, and immediately, my son was back in an environment where he could flourish and TRULY be cared for. I cannot thank the teachers Yanay, Suzy, Danihela, the aftercare girls, and this year's teacher Adelpha for loving my son - not just educating, but truly caring for him. Since he has been back, Adelpha even transformed my leftie's writing as well, from highly unorganized, to very very neat. WOKA welcomed me from day 1, and we will both miss you next year. This is the ONLY school I recommend in Doral.
