My daughter is a rising junior in high school. Instead of taking one of those large SAT/ACT prep…read moreclasses, we decided to sign her up for one-on-one tutoring sessions on ACT with Huntington in Ridgewood, NJ. It was an individualized program which we like. To start, they gave her mock tests for both SAT and ACT. Based on mock test results, and an analysis of her skills, they decided she would have a better chance for a high score on ACT than SAT. My daughter was able to finish the ACT with a near perfect score after only 25 hours of tutoring. We are so happy with our decision. I would recommend the Ridgewood center to anyone who is looking for individualized SAT/ACT tutoring.

It is a really healthy environment and great for socializing the children. They fully document all incident reports and provide a copy to the parents. Just excellent. The peace of mind knowing she was in good hands was priceless as a first time mom returning to work. I was able to visit my daughter on my break and breastfeed her- unheard of in this day and age. For a competitive fee you get quality care, clean facilities, meals and snacks, diapers, and formula if that's your thing. The food selections wouldn't be my first choice if I were providing it myself (they do kid friendly stuff- chicken and fish nuggets, pizza, pasta) but not having to worry about it is worth it. Even if you're not able to stop in during the day they send updates via app including food and naps, pictures, and the all important diaper changes. The best part of this center is the loving employees, some of who have been here for 30+ years. Turnover in daycares is common but I think being hospital employees with good benefits helps the staff to stay. They're starting a hospital employee discount which makes it a no brainer. Highly recommend.

The director is always available as well.

This school definitely needs to be investigated! the curriculum sucks! and they don't teach shit. kids don't even have a freakin WORK BOOK! also why are they charging so much for tuition but can't even get a proper photographer for the kids pictures c'mom! and the weirdos in the front act so concerned my son said melissa slapped him i definitely believe it now renee acts clueless to everything. my son also was having an allergic reaction and i noticed when i picked him up and took him to the doctor but let it be the other kids who don't look like his color they parents would've been called. The only teacher my son has ever liked was ms.gianna! she treated him so well and i believe she's probably the best there i hope she's leaves to find something better!! My son new teacher is very nurturing and loving and my son loves her soo much! i wish i found this school sooner. please keep your black children away from this dump everyday ms.devyn would write my son up and she wanted to have enough of them to kick him out but i said bump it and pulled him out! when she was on maternity my son never received a write up and i was getting good reports but soons she came back it was HELL!!' and he would even tell me all the teachers are so mean to him and would yell in his face. and he was very honest and said she kept doing it and he kicked her! i wanted to pull him before and i should've but i was told things would change and nope! that's my fault!! STAFF ARE NOT HONEST AND ALSO THERE NEEDS TO BE CAMERAS IN EVERY CLASSROOM! These teachers are not to be TRUSTED!

My son has been at Bell's little learners for 12 months now…read more The teachers are wonderful. Miss Jennisa, Cindy, Cecilia, Kanika and Donna do a wonderful job and i cannot thank them enough. They are always ready and eager to answer questions and give you a progress report on your kid. One thing i like about Bell's that sets them apart from other day care is they use an outside vendor for lunch orders and you can send your own milk, diapers and water. This gives additional flexibility to choose the food you want your kids to have and milk, water, diapers as per your preference. This is an important thing for me as we have dietary restrictions and ability to choose what your kids use and consume is important to me. Their facility is good and spacious, they have good outdoor area for kids and they have water play thrice a week. My son is learning a lot of things at Bell's. I see him improving and learning every week. I highly recommend this place.

Communication with ownership was often difficult and, at times, felt defensive or dismissive. As a…read moreparent, feeling heard and supported is important, especially when entrusting someone with your child. Attempts to meet in person to discuss my child's transition out of the daycare (with two months' notice given which I have copies of via email) were declined, and communication became passive-aggressive over email. While concerns I raised were ultimately addressed, the interactions left me feeling uncomfortable rather than reassured. My son came home with other children's' diapers and clothes on many occasions. There was so much disorganization. The owner monitors the comments of parents on private Facebook groups and is retaliatory towards them when they post anything critical. You will see this on their responses to critical reviews online as well. She sent out weekly emails reprimanding all parents for the actions of a few. I paid for an extra hour of care each day and came on time, often earlier than I needed to, but I still received these emails reprimanding everyone in the class. There was noticeable staff turnover, including two directors within one year. One departing director communicated to parents via email that the work environment was challenging, which understandably raised concerns among families. Some teachers appeared inexperienced and were frequently on their phones during pickup times, often requiring me to get their attention. While the teachers were kind to my child and did a good job teaching him, this was concerning. Information shared in the app was occasionally inaccurate (for example, meals reported as fully eaten when food was returned mostly untouched). The daycare itself is very small and lacks enough of a large open play space which is concerning, especially in the winter time. Parents were not allowed to enter classrooms to drop off or pick up their children. A friend of mine in town shared with me that her twin girls were coming home with bite marks on them and the owner denied that anyone was biting them and refused to allow them to look at the camera to see what happened. The communication style and leadership environment significantly impacted our comfort level as parents and ultimately led to our decision to leave. I am sharing this review to provide honest, respectful feedback based on our experience. I have noticed that some critical reviews appear to have been removed in the past. My intention is not to discourage others, but to offer transparency and encourage continued improvement.

The teachers are not only highly qualified but also very caring, thus creating a homely atmosphere that makes children both safe and eager to learn. The curriculum is very well planned to encourage creativity and curiosity by including arts, music, and outdoor play. I loved how my child was encouraged to explore their interests and develop all the essential social skills through engaging activities and playdates. The small class sizes truly made the difference in allowing personalized attention to help my child thrive. What impresses me most is the very strong sense of community among parents and staff. We celebrated milestones together, supported one another, and made the experience so much more special. If you are looking for a place where your child will blossom and develop a love for learning, this is the perfect place. I couldn't be happier with our experience!
