I have been going to Bay Area Heart for years. They have never been a five star office but some…read morepeople were okay. Last year they wanted me to do another sleep study. I had previously done one at a sleep center with a results of it's okay you don't need anything. The doctor ordered the study and I had already met all deductables so it would be free to me. No one ever called me and next time I went in they were going to order it again. It was late December but there was time to get it done before the end of the year. Again no one ever called. After January they called to set it up. That meant I had a new desuctable to meet. The person xalled and asked if I wanted to pay what it would cost for the take home study. It was over $800 but would be towards this years deductible. I was set up with an appointment to pick up the device. After I got there the girl said the attaching probes were on order but not in as of yet. That ment I would ha e to return. Ok it would have been nice to get a call letting me know before I got there and saved a trip. They were going to call me. They never did so late that day I called and the probes did not show up. We decided that she would call Tuesday since the freeze had canceled school for her kids. On Tuesday she never called I waited until Wednesday to call around 11am. The probes were not in. She finally called back and i got the device. I used it and returned it yo her on Friday with her word she would get the data to be analyzed. She would call me maybe on Tuesday. I waited and never got any calls. Later i the week I decided to call them. I found out she had neen laid off on Friday. The appointment for the results was later. I got all the reminders of my appointment and arrived early like always. The doctor that was to go over the results informed me that the device still had not been downloaded or reviewed (waste of my time again). I was told that a person to get the data was going to be hired on Monday and she would have to be trained. We both figured a week or so would be needed. I called after two weeks and it was still not ready. I waited to hear from them but nothing... I called again the next monday.. (third week) I was told that it still wasn't ready, but she would find something out and call me back. I never heard anything back.Today (2-26-26) I called and got a run around sent to a line no one answered and called back. The girl I had gotten before did not answer but when this one pulled up my record she saw everything going on. I was tired of all the run around and demanded a refund. I also had new appointments that they made on the results visit and demanded they be canceled. (they always make a new appointment to keep up the round robin they operate) I said I would be up there in 20 minutes for a refund. Got there (now they claim they have the results) I told them I wanted the refund and cancel the appointments. It took some time and a talk with one of their staff (i voiced some of my issues) to get it done.

This place is HORRIBLE !!! They mischarge you and when you bring it to their attention that clearly…read moreits coded wrong you get ignored. Went to another doctor 1 street over and had same service provided at no extra charge. These jokers were charging me 120 a month to monitor my heart. A real cardiologist office gets it handled at no charge. Why might you ask they have a good staff over there. Better yet I waited 3 hours in the waiting room TWICE! Dr.Patel SUX at keeping appointments!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !

I had to fight for them to do testing. They told me they would call me for a heart monitor and I heard nothing for a month and a half. I finally called them and they didn't have a care in the world. That's late not later!!!! The waiting room is quiet. That's because their television is a loop of medical pointers that is so low it might well be muted. The bathroom was clean but it is unisex. There also is no Wi-Fi which will always cost 1 Star in today's market. Why are we here? Because my wife likes Dr. Ahmed and has full confidence in him. I guess we will be back.

At first I figured it was bad news since it was so fast but it was nothing but positive news. I wasn't expecting such a fast turn around. I told him I didn't want a Nuclear Stress Test and wanted a test that was more accurate. He would not offer anything but a nuclear stress test. He did at least refer me to a doctor that gave pet scans and he stated Per Scans are the best to see artery blockage. This is the second cardiologist I went to that refused to offer any test but the Nuclear Stress Test. I have had other doctors tell me this test gives false positives. The Mayo Clinic and John Hopkins say the Nuclear Stress Test is not as accurate as a CT Angiogram or a Pet Scan. So why all these cardiologists insist on this test is beyond me. I'm the patient and the one paying I want the best test out there. The doctors don't seem to care what the patient wants. It's there way or the highway. So if your out there wanting to check your arteries for blockage seek out a Pet Scan not this flawed Nuclear Stress Test...
