Little deli-markets in otherwise completely residential neighborhoods like this one simply have no reason for existence other than nostalgia and/or a marginal level of convenience. Yet they stay open. And I can't imagine someone is making big bucks in the cigarette/lottery ticket/off-brand donut sales business. They're probably doing it as a commitment to the community, for the love of the business, and a sense of pride. A cup of joe, a good bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll for three bucks, a donut with bacon on it, just because the maple frosting wasn't unhealthy enough. Fantastic. Basic foods and sundry items as well. A little deli in back, a small selection of beer. You keep going back, not because it's the absolute cheapest, but because it's the right thing to do.

There is literally no help and it feels like almost everything requires to push the button to get somebody to unlock the case for you, if they show up. Numerous times I have gotten tired of pushing the button, looking and waiting... over and over... and I just leave, same with the bathroom; it takes forever to get anything accomplished at this CVS and I am an older fellow that usually has to pee, forget about getting someone to come and let you use their precious bathroom.
