Get to Terminal K and then stand in line. Answer a few questions, then get your passport stamped and off you go. Once you pass customs and immigration, grab a day pass from the airport to the man train station. The trains in Europe are so efficient and convenient. An easy airport to navigate in Munich. Overload a good airport, but like any large city be early and prepare to wait. Arrived from the…read morestates at 930 am and it was very busy to get through customs. There's a pre check line, scan passport , fingerprints and photo. Then on to another line to talk to an actual agent. This took about two hours. Once that's completed you move on to baggage claim. Bags were all lined up and ready to go. Signage and employees were throughout and willing to assist. Lots of food options, sit down or grab and go. Departure was a bit different, left early am, less people but still took about an hour to drop off luggage, go through customs and find gate. Definitely plan ahead and give yourself extra time.

The help and service outstanding. We Got here and we needed…read moreto layover. I am coming with my mom and the help came quick to carry my mom to the other gate. The best thing ever. I had to go with her and get the service she gets. This is a huge airport so it was far from where we landed to where the next gate was. We had to go through a security check point and then we were all good to go to the next flight. The lady who help my mom was absolutely amazing. As many airports in US they have plenty of things to see and to eat. Stores everywhere you see and also coffee shops. First time here and I am impressed of the way they recicle the towels in the bathroom and the way the toilets are. They care about conserving resources. I am happy i got to see this.

The Munich Airport, specifically Terminal Two, is a nice airport and laid out fairly well. The…read moresignage is also nice for the most part, but can be a little confusing in some sections; though, far better than Frankfurt. Restrooms are clearly indicated, but sometines the signs were a bit circular. There are plenty of shops and places to eat inside the airport. Your walk is not to far inside the airport and, for your return journey, there are people who are there to help you with the kiosks to print boarding passes. Security control moves quickly as well. I found my way to the information booth on the lower level and they were fairly helpful with their map of the public transportation system and the city map. The map of the transportation system could use improvement to dilineate the various lines better to know how to navigate. In the end, you will find Google Maps to be your best friend in navigating the public transportation. Indispensable. Buying the tickets for the City Tour pass could also be improved at the machines. The information booth is near the exit where you head to the subway and streetcars, Ubahn and Strassenbahn respectively. For the third largest city in Germany, one finds the airport very user friendly and one could get along well here without knowing German. Four stars!
