We have enjoyed the peace of mind and the loving care our Jack Russell's have received from Bryan and Janet @ Kruz' Kennel since 2011. We will continue to ask Kruz Kennel to keep our high maintenance dog. Skipper gets excited when we tell him he's "going to see Janet". I've seen Janet on her hands and knees loving on our dog. She has the animals best interest at all times. The price and the accommodations are great. We feel Skip appreciates the dog pens with the outdoor space connected. Air-conditioned inside but he's able to be on grass too. In the beginning our Skip worried Janet because he didn't eat much, we didn't think much about it, but then I mentioned he eats at night after we go to bed, so she tried it for him and it worked. We have been taking our family dog here for a few years whenever we go out of town for an extended period of time, and are very satisfied customers. Our dog is very well cared for, and they treat him as one of their own. He gets plenty to eat, exercise and attention as the owners seem to truly care for the dogs they look after. They have accommodating drop off and pick up hours. We researched other kennel prices before choosing Kruz and they are VERY affordable. Once we took our dog to one of those "doggy daycares" for two days and one night, and it cost us about half of what we get for a week at Kruz. They are very knowledgeable and dedicated dog caretakers. Being this is our first family dog, I have even relied on their suggestions/advice when I have gotten the chance to ask questions about care for our dog at home. Give them a try. read more

Kruz Kennel was recommended to us by friends over 7 years ago. We've taken our two dogs there ever since, far more times than I can remember. Our pets have come to know Bryan and Janet and seem as comfortable there as they are at home. The kennels have always been clean, I've never seen an accident or doggie "mess" in any one of them. Our pets have always come home clean, not smelling like a kennel. At another kennel, I actually caught the owner hosing out the kennels with the dogs in them. Our dog was soaking wet and smelling like crap when I took her home. Our community is fortunate to have a kennel where the owners actually treat their doggie guests like family pets. I too recommend Janet and Bryan and Kruz kennels because I know their pets will get quality care, just like ours do. read more

The preceding review, is totally inaccurate. First of, the person who wrote it, trespassed into a closed business, and private residence. He did not listen to anything told him on the phone,,,,,like please call before coeing out. Sometimes we need to get into town for supplies. Furthermore, the garage was not hot, nor was it dark. The garage, is not the kennel, but emergency overflow, used to accommodate a customers needs, until a run opens in the main kennel building. The garage is heated, if need be, and/or air conditioned. YELP, won't let me post a rebuttal, or contest the review, so I am posting this.... I boarded my 2 dogs on a long term basis twice; the first time for approximately 4 months, the second for approximately 9 months. Due to an illness in the family, I was even given a break on the rate. I was always kept informed of any changes in their condition & would be given periodic updates on what they were doing @ the moment. The care they received was great, food was monitored so that the female wouldn't steal the male's as she had a tendency to do if a close eye was not kept on her. They had a large very secure yard to play in @ least 4X/day. Sadly my male went to heaven recently, but if I need to board the female again, this is definitely where I will take her!! read more

We have been using Kruz Kennel for years now. We travel quite a bit so I need to be comfortable where I leave our dog. Janet and Bryan treat our Ozzie as one of their own. Ozzie loves to go see them - when we get out of the car Ozzie greets them as if they were family and our dog doesn't do that with just anyone. I've been other places that when I got ready to leave, Ozzie wanted to go with me. But with Kruz Kennel he never looks back until I come to pick him up and then he's always glad to see me - just as it should be! They are reasonable priced, generous hours and have been able to accomodate our schedule changes when needed. read more

We've very happy with Kruz Kennel and so are my two dogs. We board at least 6 different times throughout the year and have never had a bad experience over the past 5 years. Jan and Brian do an excellent job of caring for each dog as though they were her own. I love the fact that they get so much attention and each kennel has a door where they can go in and out of when the weather permits. Both heated and air-conditioned! Jan and Brian work with you on drop off and pick-up times unlike certain establishments with set hours. My only regret is that I can't give them a rating higher than 5 stars! read more

I've been taking my dogs to Kruz Kennels for a couple of years now and I'm always happy with their services. My big boy dog has separation anxiety and gets a bad tummy, but Janet with her yrs of experience knew what to do and she treated him herself. He's now over it and I'm so happy that he's a happier pooch when his mommy drops him off. They genuinely care about animals, to me that's very apparent. Both of my dogs are always happy when it comes to dropping them off with Janet and Brian, I never worry about a thing while my babies are in their care. They treat us like family! read more

We recently adopted a puppy from Bryan and Janet Kruz of Kruz Kennels in Waterloo, Illinois, and they were as kind as helpful as could be. The pup is healthy, happy and well adjusted and the cutest thing in the world. The kitchen area where the pups are kept was a bit messy, no surprise, but it was clean and the dogs were obviously loved and well cared for. We unexpectedly visited the kennel area away from the house, and it too was well lit, clean and taken care of. We highly recommend this kennel, they love their animals. read more

We have always been very happy with Kruz Kennel Services. They have taken care of our dogs for over 15 years with no complaints. The kennels are large and the indoor/outdoor kennels are perfect for our critters. We love the comfort the dogs receive during winter and summer weather as the bulding is heated and air conditioned. They treat you like family here. They have cared for our Beagle Jax since he was a puppy. Jax loves going there. They spend quality time with each animal that is there. I know this because I snuck up on them one time and watched them love on the animals. They are the real deal here. Clean kennels, very spacious, and you can't beat the price. Bryan and Janet are great with our dogs Chewey and Derby. They make sure that medications are given and that the dogs are walked and cared for as if their own. Both have also given great advice on proper care (ie shedding, digestion issues etc). Whenever we leave our dogs we are confident they are in good hands. We have been bringing our bulldog here to be boarded since we moved to town a couple years ago. The owners are easy to work with and flexible and the prices are lower than other local options. We would use them more but prefer to use friends and neighbor kids to take care of the big guy at home when possible as he is pretty low maintenance and just happier at home. read more
