I have had an opportunity over the last few months to visit many large supermarkets in other states. Kroger is exactly one of these. This store is big and bright (even when it's dark outside...) It is an extremely large glass store front so I can image that daytime here is really a well lit area. There were many isles, all very large for multiple carts to be able to carefully navigate their way through. As a side note, they have multiple hand sanitizer stations and wipes to clean your carts. They also made multiple announcements for wearing a mask but unfortunately there was not 100% compliance. The store is very easy to navigate and we were able to find all the items we were looking for easily. The staff here was very pleasant and guided us to the items we wanted but could not find. Check out was a snap and again we had a very friendly cashier. My favorite part, I must say, is that I loved the Starbucks Kiosk in the building. KUDOs to the staff here at Krogers. read more

I arrived at 8:50 pm, ten minutes before closing. So my shop was hurried but only because the made an announcement. They were definitely still allowing people to enter the store right up until 9pm but wanting them to check out pretty much immediately. Despite the late hour, the store was well stocked. I was able to quickly find the snacks and drinks I needed for dinner and breakfast in the hotel room. The staff did not rush me along at all, which was pleasant. A few shelves here and there needed restocking and leveling, but this was at the end of the day. The store was otherwise clean and there was certainly no rubbish on the floor. The young lady who rang up my purchase was professional and wearing a mask. In fact, everyone in the store was wearing a mask. I would shop here again. Kiosk for the decal service at Lake City Kroger would not read debit/credit card. I called the number provided on the kiosk for assistance. The rep did a diagnostic test on the kiosk said that everything checked out good. However, 3 people were unable to use the card reader. There needs to be a better way to correct the machine system because diagnostic testing was no help. I had to drive to another Kroger to get a decal. read more

The review about the person helping them or not helping them access their points to get gas. That's such a weird review. You follow the dang screen. It's extremely intuitive, and my 86 year old mom knows how to do it. Geez...I've worked around highly educated people in the healthcare field my whole life. It's a damn shame as high as gas is the clerk refuse to help with points he was quite the smart ass! He explained to me how to use a debit card AS IF HE HAS MORE EDUCATION THAN ME!!! I love Kroger shopping. I am a 'loyal customer' and have been for years. This would be 5 star if when I go to Kroger I could buy half and half. My last 3 or four trip the shelf has been empty. I asked a clerk to check the refrigerator and he did. No half & half. Last week I had to purchase a pint of Organic half and half for twice the price and half the size as regular Kroger half and half. Please make sure you keep this stocked. I usually buy 2 quarts on Wednesday and two on Saturday. I had to go to another (competitor) for half and half. Don't like having to shop two stores. You have great customer service and always have a supply of everything I need with this one exception. Your staff are delightful. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I've shopped here twice and I like it. It's larger than any of the other grocery stores over here which is nice. They have a Church's Chicken and Starbucks inside. They also have their own gas station which offers discouts if you shop at their store. read more

The other review of Kroger store #439 is out of date. It has not had a Church's Chicken in well over a year. But that is not what a grocery store is about and for purchasing food, Kroger is a big disappointment. Since early October 2014 the store has had an on-going renovation. For that reason, shopping there has been a disaster. Products are not where they should be and have been moved to a different area completely. When questioning an employee about the location, the response has been "out of stock". Yesterday, the first day of the weekly ad sale, this store did not have the Aquafina bottled water, no fresh pork tenderloin, no frozen strawberries, and no Lays Kettle Cooked chips! Apparently management is not authorized to make substitutions. One would think that corporate Kroger would go to extreme efforts to service customers during a store remodeling while the store remains open. The good that came from the above mess was I was introduced to another grocer, Harveys, and, while it is a smaller store, I experienced great customer service. read more

I don't shop Krogers very often. Prices are too high and the 2 times I have purchased hamburger meat on sale it was watered. I figured that out when I bought 5 lb of ground chuck and tried to use a vac sealer to prepare for freezing. So much water in it it would not seal. I now use Dollar General as much as possible for the low prices. read more
