9/10 times I get their "organic chicken" regardless of the sell by date is a week away... it is RANCID and bad. Online ordering support is horrible. A huge tip got on my order somehow and I immediately called to ask for it to be removed. I went through 4 different customer service people and yes, even spoke to a supervisor. Hard to believe...they would rather loose a customer than remove that tip. I have been shopping and getting deliveries from Krogers for years. I offered them to remove that tip or loose a customer. Kristin-supervisor-chose to loose a customer. So be it. This Kroger has a great selection of organic and non-GMO ingredients, sauces, and various foods that a lot of other places don't carry. The coolest thing they have is a little free food area for toddlers/small kids that has tangerines, bananas, apples and healthy snack alternatives. My kid loves bananas and he'll eat one while walking around. It calms him and prevents him from destroying the store. Their beer and wine selection is also great, especially their variety build-your-own 6-packs. Huge fan of this place! read more

Moldy cherries in produce section. Look like they were just forgot about and no one wanted to clean the basket because this is just disgusting. All around if you have the store card they have good discounts/savings but need to work on tiding up. read more

This has got to be the worse store ever. Ordered a birthday cake from their bakery on 11.30.22 (order #148) with confirmation ready to pick-up date 12.02.22 at 4 p.m. When I arrived for pick-up, all the employees in the bakery had already left (on a Friday!) and the employee working in the deli did not find a cake ready. Manager informed. He called bakery employee. Stated no such order received. Offered to make the cake on 12.03.22. Apparently, no one in the store on 12.02.22 had the knowledge on how to look-up on-line orders to fulfill. The manager should have called the bakery employee back to the store on Friday afternoon to make this cake happen. read more

This Kroger needs to get a health inspection asap. The fruit is old and has flies all over it. The salads are brown and the cucumbers completely old. The workers ignore you and avoid you at all costs. Never returning to this location. If I could give it zero stars I would. read more

Kroger - Worn out - Grocery Near Me - Hinesville, Georgia

Overall the shopping experience was good, until I had to check out. I approach an empty checkout lane with the light on and no one is present. Load up all my groceries still have not been greeted my the cashier. Cashier finally shows up to check me out, still no greeting. Last item is beer and it is 1030 on a Sunday. Cashier named Courtney pulls it off and the first thing she says to me is "you cannot buy this" without explanation in a stern and negative tone of voice. Instead of informing me why I can't buy this she said once again "you cannot buy this". Sorry, how about instead of being rude to the customers you educate as to why I cannot be purchased or possibly post a sign near the alcohol isle. Would highly suggest using another store if this is the treatment that is taught here. read more

Upon moving to Hinesville, I have definitely missed being able to shop at my local Publix. Since the nearest Publix is near my job about an hour away, I am glad that the local Kroger offers fresh produce very similar to Publix. Every time I've purchased produce and fruit from Kroger it's been fresh and delightful. The thing that I also enjoy about Kroger is that they are set up similarly to Publix, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for whether you're there for a week's worth of groceries or if you're there to pick something up on the go. As far as the customer service, this is also a plus. I once left my bag and the cashier quite literally ran it out to me, ensuring I didn't leave without it. They are always helpful in answering questions or offering to assist you with your bags when you leave. Plus, they offer a Kroger rewards card which makes purchasing gas a little cheaper so you can't go wrong! All in all a good local store! read more

I agree with the other reviewer that this Kroger lacks stuff other Krogers have... but then you also have to remember the difference in customers at the Hinesville Krogers vs. the Richmond Hill Krogers. If I need anything special from the Deli, I drive to Richmond Hill or Savannah every time, but just for every day things, this Kroger is sufficient... the staff is usually friendly.. and I am in and out in no time. read more

I had a terrible experience at this Kroger. I expected the prices to be higher, which they were. But I planned on signing up for the Kroger card in order to save more the next time. However, when I got to the check-out, the cashier girl was hopeless. She took at least 10 minutes trying to figure out how to ring up the "Build Your Own" 6-pack. Instead of calling for a manager, she stood around and waited for someone to assist her. She even asked another cashier who said they "Didn't have time to help". Finally a manager came around and rang in the 6 pack. When I asked to sign up for a Kroger card, the cashier said she didn't have any left at her register. I just looked at her waiting.. but she clearly wasn't going to help me. I just wanted to get out of there. So, I haven't been back since the prices are outrageous without a membership card. The only positive is the selection of groceries. I also love the "Build Your Own" 6-pack.. but a couple of the beers I selected tasted very old... so it must not be a very popular choice. I will go back sometime in the future and hopefully have better luck with the cashiers. read more

Kroger in Hinesvillle lacks the little extras that the Richmond Hill Kroger has to offer. You won't find a Starbucks at this Kroger, but you'll find great customer service, great selections and great prices. You can get really good deals on the meats they have to offer. The lines are short most of the time at Kroger and they bag your groceries with care. I enjoy looking at all the plants they have in their floral department. The parking lot a little hard to get in and out of at times. read more

The staff are so kind. I walked up to the deli counter with my baby and the deli worker came out from behind the counter to greet us. At check out the clerk helped me scan my items as one of the managers gave me info on signing up for a Kroger card. Great customer service. read more

I drove to Hinesville early morning to get balloons for my daughter's gender reveal. Walmart had balloons and helium, but no packages of the right color. So, to Kroger I went. I'm new to the area and haven't been to a Kroger's in many years. When I got to the Floral Dept, the florist had a sign that they weren't taking floral or balloon orders. The florist explained that another florist had closed and she was taking care of all of their prom orders. I started looking at the mylar balloons, thinking that I could buy one and get it filled elsewhere. I told her what I was doing. She said she could do it but it would be later and she could call me when they were done. Since I was 30 minutes away, I told her it wasn't feasible for me, but thank you. She asked how many, and I told her just 6 plus the mylar. She started taking out balloons and asked if I had any other shopping to do. She'd be done in 5 minutes. I went down an aisle to find fruit bars for my daughter. While looking down the aisle with breakfast bars, a gentleman who was checking stock asked if I needed help finding anything. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and he walked me to where they should be, but realized the warehouse was out of stock. The fact that he took me to where they would be rather than trying to tell me was very helpful! I was so overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of both employees. I shop here and love seeing my annual savings add up from my card swipe. I use some coupons but being vegetarian not many of the usual Sunday bundle ones apply to me anymore. I find the store staff to be helpful , but suggest not waiting until the last day of the sale if you want to get some items because you will be needing a rain check if you do. Baggers do not always seem to put the items into my reusable bags in a way that would make it more efficient for them. read more

This Kroger location seems to always be out of each week's great sale items and the customer service line always moves so slow, but the staff is very friendly and always willing to check the back for more product. My favorite Kroger location is in Richmond Hill. read more

This Kroger is smaller than others in the area, and its hours more restrictive. If you like to cook and try new recipes, it has many items you may not find in competing chains. It has a good location with easy access from multiple streets. read more

I went to Kroger today and really wish I have braved the Walmart store and parking lot. Most of the groceries were more expensive or they only had 1 of what I wanted. When it comes to "No Sugar Added" canned fruit, they have 2 cans of fruit cocktail and nothing else. I would have to take out a loan if I want vitamins and you can't get to them anyways because everyone is in line, with carts, waiting for the pharmacy or reading magazines. In the meat dept. I saw 12 pieces of meat with the sell by date of TOMORROW, yet they were disgustingly brown. Many items do not have a price listed, I do not buy anything without knowing the price. The canned cat food is priced 20/$9.00, they can't just say .45 per can? The produce section is the worst. Bagged grapefruit has many rotten pieces inside. Their was only 1 cashier open and the bagger put canned food on top of my bread and hot dog buns in with the laundry soap. They used to give senior citizens a 5% discount on Wednesdays, they stopped that. They used to have a scan-right policy that if they overcharged for an item, you got it free. They stopped that also. The ATM machine has been removed. I found nothing good about this store. The only reason I have to go there is the pharmacy. My RX plan will only allow Kroger. Do not go to this store unless you absolutely have to. read more

I have been out of town for about a year. Kroger must be under new management because it is bad. You have better choices at Wal Mart. The store seems dirty. Employees seem unhappy. veggie choices were limited. I use to count on them for fresh veggies, not now. I don't recommend shopping there. Kroger needs a total make over. read more

Good selection of food, but store is small and crowded. No Starbucks, and management is always friendly. With that said, they almost never have enough cashiers open, and try to force you to use the self check out. The express lane is never open. Parking is OK, but getting out of the lot requires NASCAR skills. Prices are higher than most stores in the area, but then that is Hinesville, no competition. read more
