Yeah we can do that. Not true. They led me to believe they were going to walk me through the entire ordeal as I've never done this before. Not true. My first red flag should have been that when I asked for the estimate to be broken down so I could see where I was spending money, they refused to do so. I had also had a quote done from Graham's & Sons in Hespeler, Amanda asked me for that quote, so she could see what she was working with, because Graham's had hired Regional Kitchen to build some cabinets for a job they were doing. Another red flag at how shady they were. They are famous for last minute schedule changes. My kitchen was supposed to start mid-October. I had everything prepped for them, and they don't show up for another month, mid-November. No explanation from them and I have an unusable kitchen. Sometimes it would take Amanda a week to get back to me. Amanda then tells me that I have to contact the electrician THEY hired. Which ended up costing me an additional $2,500. because apparently Robert is not aware of electrical or plumbing "code" or the order in which things need to be done. Robert had the flooring company HE hired, install the sub-floor before the electrician did what he needed to do. The electrician was not happy, and mentioned that he had worked with Robert in the past and it is always a mess. FINALLY, cabinets are going in, end of November. Beginning of December, Robert and Blake come to install my shelves. Robert is like a bull in a china shop, scratched my wall. Blake says "slow down, you're scratching the wall". Robert responds with "They can re-paint". Really??? Almost mid-December, my countertop goes in. Installers damaged it by putting acetone on it, the counter is quartz, never supposed to use acetone. Robert says they can buff it. No you can't. We are now at the end of January, countertop still damaged. We are now at the beginning of February and still going back and forth with Amanda about this damaged countertop. Beginning of March comes and goes, Keep in mind, Regional Kitchen has been paid if FULL, months ago. Now mid-March, not only am I still dealing with this damaged countertop, I've paid almost $60,000. My mom is in hospital and passes away beginning of April. Middle of April Amanda gets Rockland Granite and Quartz from Woodstock involved. Alex from Rockland Granite and Quartz comes to measure for new countertop. He used some sort of laser, no measuring tape in sight. First mistake. The original price I was quoted for countertop was $4,500. it then went to $5,300. which I was fine with because it wasn't a stone Amanda had a sample of. First installers damage original counter. Amanda then suggested that I go to Rockland and speak to Jasmine, who then shows me a different stone. Amanda tells me the different stone would cost me an additional $1,500. So I asked Amanda to show me the quotes she received from Rockland for both stones so I could see the difference in price. Amanda refused to provide quotes. I called Rockland and spoke to Jasmine regarding the price difference, her response to me was I was not the customer, Amanda was, therefore, she could not give me prices. But she did say that the price difference was no where near $1,500. Which is exactly what I suspected. Alex then came back to measure one part that he missed, I was explaining to him about this price discrepancy. He started to laugh and said the difference "might" be $700. maximum. So if you see Amanda's pattern . . . she keeps going up an additional $800. We are now beginning of May, countertops still not replaced and Amanda is getting major attitude because I've caught her in a lie and she's trying to spin it around on Jasmine from Rockland. End of May, beginning of June Rockland replaces countertops (not original installer) and low and behold doesn't Alex from Rockland wipe the entire countertop surface with acetone and damage the entire thing. Now nobody will take responsibility. Blake from Regional tries to tell me that they have to wipe it with acetone to get the "oil" that protects it during transport. I called Lucent, who is the manufacturer. There is no "oil" put on the stone, and you are NEVER to use acetone on quartz. Danny from Lucent came to my house to try and fix the counter to no avail. Months and months and months of nothing but hassle. Regional Kitchen offers me $2,200 and wanted me to sign something saying I will not speak of their company. They need the $2,200 more than I do and if I can save someone from the stress of dealing with this company, that is worth a lot more than $2,200 to me. There is soo much more to this nightmare, pantry drawers falling out, cabinet drawers not closing properly, shelves in lazy susan falling down. Very poor workmanship and absolutely no ownership.

We have purchased 2 homes from different builders and been through the process of building a home…read morefrom the ground up both times. We also have had many friends build new (including 1 from this builder). I have to say that while I am happy in general with the quality of the construction and the design/layout of the home, we are definitely unhappy with the customer service from this builder. When building a home you will come into contact with a number of people from the builder's side and any one of them can make or break a customer service experience for you. I also will say that it is normal to expect that some things will go wrong (it is a complicated process with many different hands involved). The difference between an excellent builder and the rest of the pack is how they deal with issues and I have to say we are not happy with that aspect of the experience. Let's start by saying that we moved into our house with no gas service because the builder didn't get organized enough to ensure Union Gas was there in time. This builder made mistakes (as is normal to do) but then in more than one case refused to take responsibility for that mistake. They essentially claimed that it was our fault that certain things went wrong, or claimed that they had never promised things that they had in fact promised us. I would like to point out that we are generally easy going people, and are not extremely picky or demanding. We are courteous, kind, and friendly but this did not seem to help. After mistakes were noticed and the builder finally agreed to accept some responsibility for them, they didn't want to do anything about it. They did not offer to fix them (due to perceived amount of work) and when we requested compensation for mistakes they either refused or pushed hard to give as little as possible. When it came to upgrades, they overcharged and were not flexible on many things that were non-issues when we purchased a smaller, cheaper home. They charged for things that I had expected to be no charge (from past builder experience and talking with friends). In summary, we do love the home now that we are there. However the journey has been long and painful sometimes and we still dread having to contact the builder for anything. As it happened we had a small leak during a recent downour and when I contacted the builder to get repairs made under Tarion warranty and they did come and repair it but were very quick to mention that they would not be responsible for any damage inside the home. I would like to say that there were 1 or two shining stars there. Our first salesperson was fantastic and the site supervisor was beyond fantastic. Sadly they laid of the site supervisor shortly after our home closed. BTW this builder has now stopped building under the Fabbian Homes name and is going by Gemini Homes. I can't comment on the reason for the change, but if I was proud of my name I probably wouldn't change it.

I thought then that the price was amazing for the scope of work included. When I saw how beautiful the shop was, I was beyond impressed with their work. We just recently purchased a century home (our first) and closed on September 23rd. We knew before purchase from our inspector that there was knob and tube wiring in the attic. My boss said I should call in Ekipa and I'm so glad we did. They replaced all the old wiring and did the job so fast. They even did it while we were moving in from the 24th-26th. These guys are so nice. I don't know if I ever met nicer people. They are respectful of the space and didn't damage anything and always cleaned up after themselves when working. We have rabbits and the guys held them and gave them treats. Nik even bought veggies to give to them when he went on break. My Gumbo loves him. They now have adopted 'uncles.' There was some drywall that had to be replaced and the quote they gave for fixing that was much lower than expected. The price for all the electrical work was more than fair as well. I feel very safe and confident that all the electrical in the house is up to code. Our house was reno'ed and the flippers did not ground any of the outside outlets, but Ekipa fixed it all...fast, reliable and kind. They even helped my husband run cable for the internet since we both work predominantly from home, put a light switch at the entrance to the kitchen, and reinforced the stairs down to the basement that had a crack in it. I was thrilled they went beyond and installed a cute little chandelier I'd purchased for my bedroom. And they stayed on quote completely. I love the quality of the work and the amazing personalities of this pair. They even brought us coffees twice! I will have them back to do a deck and the mortar work that needs to be done around our stone foundation...and for any other projects or work in the future. Left a huge mess at my house, destroyed an outdoor rug, left scratches/debris on vehicle parked in driveway. And they installed the WRONG COLOUR of eavestroughs.
