I absolutely have the outmost approval and respect for the nursing and doctor staff at Anderson…read more They are terrific! However I don't understand the new expensive modification to the Walk-in ER and the ER staff. First of all, the new entrance to the ER is so bad, someone could die before getting front the parking lot to the check-in desk that had nobody there to check in for over 10 minutes. Secondly my wife was taken to the ER by ambulance and I went in to check how she was going and I asked if I could see a nurse for status and an hour later I still hadn't heard. I simply left. I would have recommended this ER and Hospital to everyone 3, 2 or a year ago, but am thinking it has really, really gone done hill over the past year.

Very dangerous as they are not equipped to handle the many variables that come with cardiovascular disease. Women and diabetics of both sexes present with atypical symptoms and often have normal looking ecgs. A mid level is not going to catch unstable or stable angina in most of those cases. They gave me a GI cocktail. Well, it has phenobarbital mixed with lidocaine and Pepcid. lol I guess they thought it was aNxIetY since I am female. I have a pretty high calcium score. And it is on the LAD. Thankful for a good pcp who sent me for stress testing and labs etc. We will handle it. I know not to ever take family to this hospital for anything other than a hang nail.

I was visibly shaking when I got there, so much so that when I got on the scale, the scale was rattling. The nurses and staff were so kind to me and reassured me of everything. I was so touched by their kindness! Dr. Hulsen himself is kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to get to know me before I even had to do any exams. He talked about my past experience, all the things that were bothering me, and any and all apprehensions that I had. He's so sweet and has a great sense of humor. Not once did he talk down to me, and I never felt any humiliation during this experience. He really eased all of my troubles, and guess what? The exam didn't even hurt! I was so amazed and so grateful for his kind demeanor and bedside manner that I just about broke down into tears. If you're looking for a great gynecologist who will listen to you, respect you, and take care of you, Dr. Thomas M. Hulsen is THE ONE to go to! Don't even bother going across the river to St. Louis. In fact, you should come over here from St. Louis to see him! I was definitely impressed, and well... let's just say that 1.) I'm not afraid of seeing the gynecologist again, and 2.) I will definitely be back next year for my annual exam.

I never felt rushed during our appointments and he answered all of the many questions I had considering it was my first pregnancy. Come labor and delivery time he was attentive and encouraging, staying with me in addition to a L&D nurse for much of the pushing phase. When I became pregnant I didn't have an OB/GYN having recently relocated and he was highly recommended by multiple women. Great doctor!

Call backs are either non-existent or you have to call yourself only to deal with an annoyed nurse on the other end. I called for cholesterol results nearly 2 weeks after my blood work was done. A simple test that should be back at the doctors office at most within a couple days. When I called, the girl immediately told me the results weren't back yet. She didn't even check and I'm not even sure she got my name. I insisted she check and sure enough, the results were there. Then she didn't want to give me the numbers.....it was like pulling teeth and she even gave me a heavy sigh when I wanted more than just the total cholesterol number. I'm annoyed that I should have to fight to get simple answers. I asked for a call back to see if I should stay on the same dosage of cholesterol medicine, but never heard anything back. This scenario has happened more than several times over the past few years and I don't recommend anyone settle for having to fight for their own information. Schueler and Kelly do seem to care, but if their office staff doesn't......then it's a problem for me.
