But the views! Soak up the Alpine peaks and the majesty of Lake Kochel - you can even go for a skinny dip if you want to brave the cold ... it's a mountain lake.
Where else can you soak in a saltwater tub with a view of the mountains - enticing in the summer, snow-capped in the winter.
The showpiece sauna is too big, sure it's also way too hot. I've burned my feet on the hike to the nearest seating. But the view ...
As other reviewers have highlighted, the steam room is tiny (it holds 5, at a push) and you need to hose cold water over the sensor to get any steam. And no view.
The plunge pools are great, and feature different types of water - sodium, salt, etc.
If you're a sauna lover, avoid Sundays. They allow mixed textile and nudist bathing. I don't know who is more uncomfortable. They also allow kids, so if you're looking to relax in peace and quiet, choose another day.
