This store is located right off the avenida Reforma, which is the avenue that they close down on Sunday for cyclists. They have so many decilious options to choose from, I was completely unsure about what to get. I was undecided about getting the chispas de San Valentin, corazon chispitas, corazon de fresa, and glaseada de fresa, which is strawberry glazed. I really only wanted to get two donuts because I'm trying to maintain control obviously, so my final decision was one glaseada de fresa, and one chispitas de fresa. The coffee was an easy choice, just a regular medium-sized cafe Americano con leche. This particular store is especially comfortable because they they have actual sofas for people to sit! I didn't stay long, and I appreciated the attentiveness of the Staff person who greeted me and took my order.

This bakery bakes most of their pastries for the most part. I purchased two almond croissants that were pre-packaged and that I am sure will keep longer. In addition to the croissants and conchas, I also got two cheesecake slices. I noticed a couple of guys replacing some of the baked rolls with fresher ones, so I knew that this bakery is all about service. Some of the other places where I purchased pastries I questioned their freshness. There were simply too many pastries to choose from, and I will save the rest of the goodies for another day.

The staff are very friendly and willing to deal with my lack of language skill. The coffee and pastry are on par with other places, not particularly special. I'm giving it a five-star because of their kindness. This morning while I was waiting in line, a homeless man walked in and lingered around the shop. Instead of kicking him out, the cashier asked him what he needed, and wrapped up a piece of bread for him to take, for free. They feed those who are in need. This might have been super common in Mexico, and maybe it costs nothing for the bakery to give away possibly day-old bread. But I don't want to take their kindness for granted. Come check out this bakery if you happen to be in Narvarte next time!

This was the best churro- holy smokes.... We leaned into the afternoon churro and hot coco tradition here pretty easily. These churros are crispy and then chewy on the inside. Absolutely fabulous. I did also get a hot chocolate from this stall as well but it was WAY too sweet. I could only take a couple sips and then I had to throw it out. So the plan is- go here for your churros, and then head down to Cafe El Jarocho for their hot chocolate. BAM! You're welcome.
