I ordered the lamb korma, garlic naan, and a mango lasi and it was all delicious. I did have a little sticker shock when my total was over $30 and with tip $42 but I did order lamb and that's never cheap. The serving size was huge and will certainly feed at least 2 people so really the price was more than fair once I saw the size of the serving. This is officially my new spot for Indian food.

Being Indian should never be used to shame, stereotype, or attack a customer. No one should be…read morecursed at or treated as dishonest because of their ethnicity, nationality, or background. A delay caused by a child's health emergency should have been met with basic humanity, not abusive language and discriminatory remarks. Do you want to take your family to a restaurant which throws Indian racial slurs at you for being late instead of checking why? My 9-year-old daughter suddenly started vomiting, and I was scared for her health and safety. In that moment, my priority was my child. I was not ignoring your restaurant. What I received in return was not understanding, patience, or even basic professionalism. Instead, the restaurant left a voicemail that used profanity and made insulting comments about me being Indian. The message suggested that Indian customers are dishonest or unreliable. That is offensive, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable.

The short: A cute…read moreIndian restaurant right off 22nd with cute elevator music, FANTASTIC naan, and good curry The longer: This place is hidden gem in downtown Ogden, I came here because I was curious and haven't seen this place before. One of my favorite parts about the atmosphere was elevator like music with the cute decor, had a lot of that old brick building vibe that Ogden is known for and it all work together pretty nicely. I don't particularly remember what care I got, but I got it with lamb and a hot level spice. I usually can hold my spice pretty well, but this push the limit on that, so for those out there, you will probably want something mild or lower as it was pretty intense, but really good! Now, for my favorite part, the naan was absolutely fantastic. Sometimes you get naan that is really dry and overcooked, but this one was soft buttery and added to the meal to an extreme level . And with it being downtown, you could eat here and walk anywhere in ogden. It's right next to the junction and everything on 25th St. All in all, I definitely recommend as there's not many places like this in the Ogden area. The food in the apps are really good and the general aesthetic was very laid-back. Overall: 4.25/5 $15-$21/meal

Came to support a local, family owned business, and ended up finding my new favorite place to get…read moreIndian food! Let's start with the atmosphere, this place is amazingly mom and pop and charmingly decorated. Unlike the place up the road, you don't feel like you're in a restaurant that used to be SOMETHING else. Then the food. We started with vegetable samosas and they came out quick, hot, and delicious. Two were enough for us but I wished I could have had more. For my main, I got the butter lamb done as hot as they could make it, while my guest had the chicken tikka masala at medium. I love super spicy and was not disappointed, it caused some serious forehead sweat but wasn't panic inducing. The food was all served hot, fresh, and had amazing flavor. It came paired with basmati rice that was also fresh and aromatic. On the side we tried the roti and the fresh garlic naan and were not disappointed at either, but have to say the puffy and flaky naan was hands down the best side of the evening. I never once had to wait for a drink refill and was treated extremely well by the wait staff. Do yourself a favor and come support local Indian food in your community, you won't be disappointed!

They seem to have renamed themselves "The Fort," judging by their sign out front. I came here…read morebefore my book signing in Layton because of all the vegan options, and it was mid. There was also a ton of incense burning everywhere (not advertised online), so I won't come back. The naan was good, but didn't remind me of normal naan. It was just a flat, oily bread, in my opinion. It was the best part of the meal. The Chana masala was mid, as was the rice. Neither were anything special, and the rice was not just plain rice like at a lot of other places. The lady talked me down from spice level 5 to 4, but I'm glad that she accidentally put it in as a 5 (judging by the receipt). I'm a habanero person, and I need to stop listening to people who talk me down. I still needed to add habanero flakes. If I ever go back, I'd get it a level 6 (above the normal scale). The hot sauce they gave me had no discernible spice whatsoever and just tasted like mango. I don't recommend asking for that unless you like mild/no-spice liquidy mango sauce. All in all, it's a mid restaurant with a lot of incense everywhere. It's not BAD food and the portions are great, but I've had far better. There's another Indian place basically across the street which may or may not have better food--I haven't been.
