STAY AWAY: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE HIRING THIS FIRM…read more I hired this firm to do some legal paperwork and had the worst experience in regard to billing and difficult communication. The legal work was so poor that I was forced to hire another lawyer to review the work and she was shocked at the poor quality and laziness (it was a template from another client whose personal information they couldn't even be bother to remove). Also my lawyer was extremely difficult to get in touch with, but he charged me for every minute regardless of whether he was providing service or not. Even charged us almost $400 just for him to drive to meet in person. And worst of all, their billing team was billing me almost every day for a separate retainer that they call a "trust" that I did not sign/agree to and was NOT INCLUDED IN THE CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION OF MY CONTRACT BECAUSE THEY FORGOT TO ADD THE ADDENDUM. TLDR; poor quality of work and ridiculous billing, stay away.

I sincerely hope others do not have to go through the experience I had with attorney Milissa…read moreBarrick at this firm. In my experience working with her, I did not feel adequately represented in court, documents and evidence I had provided that were key in my case were not presented because copies were not available at the hearing, and I even had to clarify information about my own case in front of the judge while also observing THE JUDGE correcting statements made by Milissa Barrick, my attorney multiple times. After the hearing, I was told by Milissa Barick (my own 'supposed' attorney) that the judgment was "just" and that I needed to "accept my mess ups," which was very discouraging to hear from my representation, the attorney I HAD HIRED to advocate for me. I initially paid a Five thousand trust but within about two months the total charges reached above sixteen thou, and despite asking the firm to withdraw from representing me after the hearing, (I also sent emails to keep the fact that I was telling them to withdraw in writting) I continued to be billed and felt hostage and like I couldnt escape the situation. I chose this firm because they were among the least expensive options I found when calling around, but ended up being just as expensive as others and based on my experience. I wish I had considered representing myself instead, as the outcome created significant challenges for me and my child that will take years to work through. I can attest that the other negative reviews are true statements as per my experience and I wished I had taken them into consideration. My experience with this firm raised serious concerns about their billing and representation practices. I would never in my life hire them again, they left me in worst shape than I ever was and caused me long term distress. I would advice you to never EVEN call them, look around, there are for sure better options, ask around on social media platforms, they will present better options. This firm was just awful to say the least!
