After the hearing, I was told by Milissa Barick (my own 'supposed' attorney) that the judgment was "just" and that I needed to "accept my mess ups," which was very discouraging to hear from my representation, the attorney I HAD HIRED to advocate for me. I initially paid a Five thousand trust but within about two months the total charges reached above sixteen thou, and despite asking the firm to withdraw from representing me after the hearing, (I also sent emails to keep the fact that I was telling them to withdraw in writting) I continued to be billed and felt hostage and like I couldnt escape the situation. I chose this firm because they were among the least expensive options I found when calling around, but ended up being just as expensive as others and based on my experience. I wish I had considered representing myself instead, as the outcome created significant challenges for me and my child that will take years to work through. I can attest that the other negative reviews are true statements as per my experience and I wished I had taken them into consideration. My experience with this firm raised serious concerns about their billing and representation practices. I would never in my life hire them again, they left me in worst shape than I ever was and caused me long term distress.
