Lisa and her team are very creative and detail-oriented, and you essentially get a free event designer (as well as coordinator) included in your catering costs, it is a value that cannot be beat! They were responsive to the needs and ideas that were unique to our event and helped turn our thinking into a real vision - and then they executed it! Guests were impressed with the food and the cocktails! The executive chef is very talented and the menu was creative; Canards listened to the food styles we were interested in and suggested items that would add some special elements and elevate the menu. They are so flexible and the sky is the limit, and everything is plated in a beautiful way. Really can't go wrong with food from Canards. Canards is very fairly priced and the team looks for ways to save you a buck where possible. They coordinate rentals and other vendors for no additional fees. They designed a linen/décor/tablescape plan that was super unique and then handled rentals and set up, and the results really were stunning. They suggested a decorative scheme for our ceremony space and handled it directly, creating a floral backdrop. They ordered bulk florals/décor which they turned into simple but beautiful centerpieces, which saved us a pretty penny. They helped us do a "welcome" greeting before the ceremony and cocktail hour without inflating the price. It really does result in the best value that you can find for wedding catering, really impressive what they can do for each event. The vendors and service staff they work with are extremely professional. Service was excellent throughout dinner and the rest of the event. Do not work with them if you are not used to how the government runs things. I used to run a…read morebusiness, and now I'm self employed, if I did either of those things like Melissa does her job I would be out of work. She took a two week vacation during the time my husband and I were trying to finalize our wedding date. He tells me it's normal, but no one I know takes off those two weeks between Christmas and New Year every year. Also no one I know goes on vacation and leaves their automatic email the same. "In and out of the office" does not tell me you're not going to answer until after New Years. She only said hello to my husband at the rehearsal, and then two days before the wedding she asks me last minute details. Why didn't she just ask me at the rehearsal? Also, right as I was getting settled after the ceremony and photos she not only asks me more last minute questions, but she then questions my answers to them. Who does that to an already stressed out bride? Just before I walked down the isle I had to explain to her why I didn't have a bouquet. Thanks for looking out for me, but do I look freaked out to not have a bouquet in my hands? Don't put your nose into my wedding when you were of no help before. In spite of how much I dislike how Melissa handled her job the staff was amazing, very attentive and polite. Everything was set up exactly as I wanted, though my husband and the grooms men helped with that because there weren't enough people to get it all done. Over all it really was an amazing day, and the help was incredible, just get rid of Melissa's lack of communication and I'd be able to give it five stars with ease.
