My wife is Filipino and is a loyal listener to the station. She listens to 105.5 in the car, in the kitchen and even in the bathroom! I never was a big fan of Filipino music or the radio station. Well, first I can't understand Tagalog or Ilocano. I've picked up a few words and phrases, BUT I don't understand what the announcers are saying or what the music is about??? Secondly, my wife being a loyal radio listener of KPMW for many years, I was forced to listen too, but I felt that the music played on the air was a bit dated? So again KPMW MIX 105.5 never really appealed to me...BUT I noticed something over the past year? There is a new sound or vibe that i hear now on the station that I'm actually liking - actually I've grown to love! The music list sounds fresh and I hear a lot of new shows and new announcers. I'm in my late 30's and I'm hearing tons of songs on the air that really appeal to my music tastes! Lots of variety! Plus, lots of English songs sung by Filipino artists...now when I hear a song I like, I will ask my wife what's the title of this song and I look it up on YouTube!
