This dude lied to me over and over again. i have proof. My only regret was getting roped into his BS in the first place. And I have a full record of all the times he fed me lies or bullshit. He never did much work, let alone lift a finger to help-- proof of that too. Just took my money. And lost my case because, in his words, "it wasn't important enough to me." He missed court dates, deadlines and didn't even have the courtesy to communicate with me or keep me informed. I even asked him if it would be best if we part ways but he promised things would be different. All BS. It's almost as if he kept me along just to wreck my case. Showed up massively unprepared to a hearing we had. The judge was embarrassed for him. And when I offered to help him prepare the night before, he said "im Russell Wilson on the 1-yard line." Complete arrogance and smack talk. He talks all about it. Which is ironic cuz his non-profit's logo is "don't talk about it, be about it." He cancelled meetings, cut them short, started talking to his friends/family/other clients during meetings. He once promised to sit down and work through things with me but when I got there, he turned face-- said "lets get this turned in" as if he has spent even a second thinking about my case. I told him we should terminate if he wasn't going to put in any effort and his response was "lawyers can't guarantee outcomes." That right there showed me everything he is about. he believes he is above the law and can't be held accountable. I can't believe the MN Prof Board lets ppl like him retain their licenses. He then told me that if I were to complain about his shoddy representation, he would get me tossed behind bars. I can't believe a lawyer, let alone a criminal defense lawyer, says that to their client. This guy has broken so many of the professional rules of responsibility, I can't even keep count. All the other lawyers I have ever dealt with, at least, had the decency to tell me about deadlines, statutory or otherwise, so that I was free to retain legal services elsewhere without my case getting tossed. It's common courtesy. Im pretty sure it is also LEGALLY REQUIRED for lawyers to do. setting that aside, Not doing so shows a blatant lack of integrity, let alone client respect. Naturally, Travis failed to do even that. That is so messed up I can't even believe his standards for himself are that low. I wondered why he didn't tell me about deadlines. But it's probably because he would have to admit that he failed to inform me of them, or probably missed them and he didn't want to look bad. Again, seems he can't be held accountable. hes all about his superficial image. Not the hard work. I have no idea why he is a lawyer if he doesn't even want to do the basics or be held to any kind of standard. Seriously, take your money and go elsewhere. I had the misfortune of dealing with him.
