This is my least favorite gas station. The service is horrible. The cashier is always rude and unprofessional.

We actually found this place on Instagram while they were at a festival and decided to stop by and…read moregrab some food. First off -- the food itself was VERY fresh, flavorful, and honestly really good. The portions are absolutely humongous. Like... huge. My husband was born and raised in East New Orleans, where this restaurant is located, so he knows the area very well. This place seems fairly new though, so we wanted to support a small business and give it a try. One thing I will say is the customer service wasn't the friendliest. There were only two of us, and with the amount of food we ordered, I feel like they could've at least warned us about how large the portions were. We originally ordered the 5-piece wings, but they didn't have that option available, so they automatically gave us the 10-piece without really explaining it or saying anything beforehand. The vibe honestly felt a little like you have to know people there to get the full welcoming experience because we noticed other customers getting smiles and a little more interaction, while ours felt very dry. Not sure what that was about. Also, the food does take a LONG time to come out, but you can definitely tell it's freshly made, so I can appreciate that. Overall, despite the service not being the best, the food was really good and worth trying. I'd definitely order from here again if we're back in the area -- but probably to-go next time. That's just my honest review.

I will be back here to try more dishes, especially intriguing is the fact they're using Louisiana seafood and they've got a red fish in green curry! Highly recommend you check it out! It's a little hard to get at directly (you need to go to Lakeshore drive then turn at Russell's), but it well worth the extra turns. They appear to do a robust takeout business, but we opted to eat in. There is a tiny bar along the front wall that you can sit at, but there is a decent sized dining room with more than 6 tables just behind the front desk area. Same gal was serving the dining room and handling the take out orders at lunch. She was wonderfully kind and attentive. The food was very yummy and had all of the flavors of Thailand that I was hoping for. We got the papaya salad with medium heat and it was perfect, cool, crisp, sweet, salty, all at the same time, plus perfectly toasted peanuts. YUM!! We got the Pad Thai with chicken and the drunken noodle with beef. The pad Thai noodles were slightly over cooked and the drunken noodles were slightly undercooked. The flavors were perfect though. I'd try them again if we were in the area.

The drunken noodles were super flavorful on their own, and they definitely weren't kidding about the spice level. We ordered level 4 spicy and they actually added real Thai chilies into the noodles. But the real star of the meal was the dessert. The sticky rice was sweet, soft, and warm, and the coconut milk on the side made it good enough to eat by itself. Pairing it with the ube ice cream just took it to another level -- the mix of warm and cold together was so good. I've never had sticky rice with ube ice cream before, but honestly it might be something I start ordering from now on. Our server was really nice and patient, especially since it took me awhile to decide what I wanted to order. I also didn't go during rush hour, so the service was quick and smooth. The place itself is on the smaller side, but it's perfect if you're on the go and need a quick bite for lunch or dinner.

The spice level is true to their scale too, so pick wisely lol Service is prompt and food came out piping hot which was nice to have it fresh. Honestly, I had low expectations given that Asian cuisine isn't really maintream in New Orleans, but to my surprise, everything was bursting with flavor! Some dishes better than ones we've had back home in the Bay. Parking can be difficult as it is on a main busy street. There's a lot of people outside because there's a neighboring bar. Didn't get to try their dessert because they didn't have mango. I'd definitely recommend this spot especially if you're looking for something different.
