This place was as legit as they come! It helped that it was downstairs from the spot we were staying, but even if it wasn't, this would be a spot to check out.
Small footprint on a corner of two streets I can't pronounce, they're working some magic inside! They had something like 2 dozen pizza options that all came in medium, large and XL. Sizes are similar to those in the USA though the pricing went up rapidly. The XL was roughly 3 x the price, but didn't look to feed three times as many people. As such we ordered an array of medium pies for us three adults and five kids. With some big eaters we got through 4 of the 5 pizzas (though seriously 3 would normally be plenty as two kids at a combined 13 slices!).
We had a couple pepperoni, which also came with Tuna - we're told that's pretty standard for pizza - like, you need to ask to not have on standard. It wasn't bad and didn't take anything away from the pizza as it was! We also grabbed a Mexicana, a Reindeer/Chanterelle/Red Onion pizza and a Quattro which included tuna, ham, shrimp and mushrooms. All were excellent, the crust was thin with a bit of chew left in it and the cheese was delightful! The Reindeer pizza was a favorite - it was smokey with a nice earthy bite from the mushrooms and a little zing from the onion. It was very tasty!
We carried out and it only took about 15 minutes for all 5 to be ready. They ran about $11 per pizza and while a bit more than a $5 carry out deal stateside, these pies were seriously good! Well worth checking out anytime you need a pie! read more
