He listens to you and then provides recommendations based on your circumstances and goals. My parents sent their friends to him, and he actually directed them elsewhere due to their needs rather than take their money himself. I read another review here, and I'll say this, if Hombre turned someone away then it was the correct thing to do. Hombre and Ascent Financial are extremely professional, knowledgably, respectful and available when you need them.

I had a unique problem and they were extremely helpful in assisting me on how to figure it all out. They all seem very smart and capable. On a sidenote, they have a great little machine that can make coffee, tea, hot, cocoa, etc. I particularly liked the peppermint tea, which did not have any garbage in it just straight Mintleaf. It makes the weight very enjoyable.

However, as soon as I needed some assistance in converting equities, or had questions with my accounts, the help was woeful or nonexistent. I would follow directions of an account manager to set up certain account paperwork, but was treated disrespectfully by the same manager when he could not remember giving his directions. Many times when I would call to ask procedural questions regarding my accounts, I would be met with either disinterest or an "I don't know." Honestly, it was like it was their money and not mine. There was one associate there that I had the fortunate ability to work with for a period of time, but that link was lost when the associate left the firm. I felt that the working relationship was not valued. As such, I terminated my business dealings with this firm.

He filed everything within a week of receipt and was communicative and patient even when I forgot some documents.
