Carrefour is basically an express mini grocery store. This one just happens to be located right by…read morethe Colosseum. (+) Decent selection of items to snack and munch on while in the area. Prices aren't have bad either, for the most part. (+) Pretty good selection of wine available. Wine is amazingly cheap out here. lol (+) Open 24/7, which was very convenient at times when nothing else was available in the area, especially late nights and early mornings. (-) grouchy, surly staff. Seriously encountered this every time we came here. Do you really hate your life that much?? Sure comes off that way. Grouchy pricks. (-) pre made sandwiches were pretty terrible and warm deli food was just as expensive as going to the surrounding restaurants! (-) Most beverages were only available warm, with practically none chilled in a refer. This place was adequate simply because it was the ONLY option at times. Otherwise, it pretty much sucked. If the staff wasn't so surly and cranky all he time I would have at least bumped it up to 3 stars for being somewhat useful, but who needs attitude every time you walk into a place?? 2 stars. Definitely experienced better.

I am an American who came to this store from my hotel (Marriott) to buy wine and snacks. To my…read moredismay, the male clerk was extremely rude. We bought 3 bottles of wine, a liter of soda and some chips. Why would anyone think that it's possible to put all of those items in one plastic bag????? I understand culture differences but I also understand common sense. When I asked for another bag he called us crazy. Seeing that this area is below my standard of living and not knowing the laws we left. Yep! My money's spends where ever I go but it's doesn't mean they have to be respectful. Smdh!!!!!

Do you love shopping in local grocery stores? I do!…read more Pam Local was a great stop for our family on a trip to Italy. Need a drink, a snack, some pesto or pasta to bring back home, this is the place to shop. Nice to be able to pick up very local spices, small jars of jams and honey, pesto and bags of small cookies. They carry sized that are airplane compliant. Make sure to bring a bag if you have one. Or you can purchase a shopping bag there. Prices are very reasonable. A bottle of cold Pellegrino was just €.50. So refreshing on a hot summer day. Or you can fill up your water bottle at the water fountains in Rome. The water is safe to drink.

PAM Local is one of those places that's just fun to walk through when you're visiting Italy…read more It's a full grocery store, but everything feels more interesting compared to what you'd find back home -- from fresh produce and prepared foods to packaged snacks and drinks. Easy to spend time just browsing the aisles. The prices are insanely good. Local Italian wines, salami, snacks -- you can grab a lot here without spending much. I picked up a bottle of Montepulciano, some coppa, Nutella, and a few other things. Definitely stop in, fill your backpack with goodies, and you'll have snacks for your room, easy light lunches on the go, and be very happy. A great stop if you're nearby -- even just to explore and pick up a few things. You'll leave excited..
