Ugeogi Galbitang (cabbage and beef short ribs in beef and soybean broth)
Lance K.

Nice quiet place with good service and prices are reasonable for what you get. The Banchan (complementary appetizers) flavors are really good, but they could use some extra heat (spice). It's a really cool day, perfect for soup, so I tried the Ugeogi Galbitang (cabbage and beef short ribs in beef and soybean broth). The broth was light and flavorful, I really enjoyed it. I would have preferred a little more beef, maybe another short ribs, but it was great and the pricing matches what you get. I'll definitely be back the next time I pass through Fountain, Colorado.

Omg. I drove 15 hours from Texas to visit family. I was CRAVING kimchi. Found this place maybe a mile or so up the road and let me TELL YOU! BEST food I've had in a while. I love spicy Korean food but this gave me a run for my money. Dukpokki just omg, ADD THE CHEESE. Normally I don't like eggs but the hard boil egg HIT! Kimchi Jjigae. This soup hit that cold spot inside of me. I've been so cold since I came here. Now I am WARM! Bulgogi Fries. I've had bulgogi before but this meat is TENDER! Melt in mouth heaven!!! And let's not forget about Soju. We had the strawberry and mango. I am coming back before I have to go home. Thank y'all so much for being open!!!

The food hit the spot! We were not expecting to find a delicious Korean restaurant like this! The bulgogi is amazing! Also, try the teriyaki chicken with rice. Little one ordered the kimbop and devoured it. Which is a win for me! The lady who took our order was attentive but not overly so and friendly even when my husband asked if they had the crunch roll haha! She kindly replied that's another type of restaurant, but recommended the kimbop. Wonderful lunch with my family today, thanks Korean Garden!

Cmon. Bibimbap. I can't say enough deliciousness words :) HUGE portions too.

Delicious. Friendly staff. Clean location. Lovely music playing. Fresh FRESH food and loads of generous sides. We both had bibimbap and it was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!!

Tong Tong Korean Restaurant is an absolute flavor bomb and easily one of my top 3 Korean…read morerestaurants in Colorado Springs. Every single visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The Kimchi Jjigae is phenomenal--deeply flavorful with just the right amount of sour and spice. It's bold, comforting, and tastes like it's been simmering with intention. The kimchi pancake is perfectly crispy and insanely delicious, and the tteokbokki brings the heat with a spicy, addictive sauce that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." Don't skip the house-made cinnamon-ginger tea--it packs a warm, delicious punch and is the perfect way to round out the meal. And the banchan? Never-ending, always rotating, and every single one is different, delicious, and dangerously addictive. The service is just as great as the food--friendly staff, attentive without hovering, and clearly on top of things. The restaurant is busy (always a great sign), but we didn't wait for a table at all and were seated immediately. The ambiance ties everything together: warm, lively, and comforting without feeling chaotic. It's the kind of place where the energy makes the food taste even better, whether you're there for a casual meal or a full-on comfort-food fix. This place nails flavor, hospitality, and atmosphere all in one. If you love Korean food--or want to fall in love with it--Tong Tong is a must.

When dining in Colorado Springs, the standards have to be recalibrated (lowered) to Colorado…read morereality. The brave souls that venture into the realm of independent restauranting are typically rewarded with limited patronage, and even death. The locals invariably demand large, corporate chain food replete with seed oils, sugar and salt. In light of the pricing, quality and portions afforded here at Tong Tong in their lunch special today, I will be enthusiastically adding them to my restaurant list for Colorado Springs. Today, I ordered the Spicy Bulgogi lunch special. With it came the soup, Kim Chi (2 varieties), Korean potato salad and rice, not to mention a pretty appetizing Spicy Bulgogi. It had the right spice quotient and most astonishingly, packed meat quality that was relatively good--all for a paltry $13! Everything was quite good, no, not at the level of LA's Koreatown's finest. But considering the price, the generosity, the overall quality, and most notably, the fact that we are in Colorado Springs, a foodie's worst nightmare, as a venue, this place scores highly with me. My apologies for the quality of the photos. I was rushed somewhat. I would encourage you to try this restaurant and sample the spicy bulgogi.

Soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me with a warm welcome. They would check in often, and watched them chat with other customers. It gave it such a warm and homey feeling. I ordered the Gabi Tang and the soup was flavored so well. It came with large pieces of the short rib and a great assortment of banchan. The kalbi was incredibly tender, and I'm very grateful that they provided scissors and tongs. Kalbi's annoying to eat with your hands, so this was a welcome set of tools. The bonchon was good! I don't see this variety of bonchon frequently, so it was a nice change of pace from what I usually see. I wish they provided refills though, because my partner and I finished them super quickly :') The pork bulggogi was okay (in my opinion). You can really feel the paste that they use to make it spicy and to flavor it, which I wasn't a big fan of. The waitress was very friendly and quick to serve people. I'd definitely come back, especially since I feel like this area doesn't get a lot of traffic.
