I have purchased firearms from Powers along with putting several up for sale under consignment. All transactions were smooth and provided a personal touch. Full disclosure I bought an AR from this shop in 2021 when it was under different ownership however it's the same exact folks that work there and literally sold it to me. Purchased during COVID and just got around to shooting last fall. Well shooting one round at a time because the shells would not eject at all. Went with a friend to purchase a shotgun and mentioned to the same brown haired guy that has worked there for years and he said to clean and lube and if not working to bring back. Made sense so I did exactly that and still no ejection of the spent round. Tried myself to trouble shoot with different ammo, mags etc. and nothing worked. Brought the gun back today like I was told and the same brown haired guy with a beard basically handed me a card for a gunsmith and said they couldn't do anything. I asked him to take a look at the gun I purchased from them that I had the receipt for and he said it was from 2021. I said I know it is but it has never worked and I'm not asking for a refund, just some help figuring it out. He then started being rude and raising his voice at me like I was being unreasonable. I've purchased several guns from this place but will never step foot in that door again. New ownership or not the employee that yelled at me for asking for help is the same one that sold it to me. Do not buy from this place the employee was super unprofessional and rude. Never once did I raise my voice. First, he tried to charge a restocking fee on a unit HE sold that wasn't properly functioning. Then he starting running his mouth and getting extremely hostile. This gentleman called us every vile expletive you can imagine, including directing the F bomb at us. He even threatened us with physical violence. Do yourself a favor and stay VERY far away from this place!
