Well, I have to say that I thought we were in good hands when we chose KoppieKatz. Here's my experience.
Last October I talked to Bruce and I asked him what cats he had available. I told him I was interested in a kitten or retired cat. He told me he had a retired cat that would be available early 2022. He showed me the pics on his website, told me all about her personality and we struck a deal. My family and I were super happy. I sent a deposit and we were off getting ready for our new cat. Every few weeks I would keep in touch with Bruce to see how our cat was doing, making sure everything was all good. He assured me everything was great and he would let me know when she was getting spayed. In December, Bruce let me know that she was on the schedule to be done on Jan 18, 2022, and she would be ready 2-3 weeks after. We were getting super excited. We ordered everything for our new cat, even had several items mongramed with our new cats name on it. We set up the house and got everything ready. 2 days ago, I followed with with Bruce again asking how Willow was after her surgery. He responded with an ice cold email stating that he decided he was going to keep Willow and he's sorry. After 4 months of waiting, getting reassured the entire time, by a guy I was told was an honest and good businessman, he decided to go back on his word with zero remorse. I called Bruce several times and he emailed me saying he was busy and he will call me the next day. He did call and the entire time I was telling him how he let down our family and was completely unprofessional, he seemed to just dismiss the entire issue and kept saying "Okay, I'll send the refund today, sorry" as if his apology would make up for giving us his word for 4 months only to rip it away. He blamed his wife Vicki, saying she just decided she wanted to keep her. I want everyone to know that if they wanted to keep the cat, I have no issue with that, but when you tell someone the cat is theirs and make them wait 4 months, there is no excuse I will accept. All they had to do is tell me from the onset that they wanted to keep her, and I could have continued my search and most likely have had a cat already. I suspect that it's all lies, and they either sold her to someone else, or are still breeding her. Just bad business all around and I am totally shocked at their cander. Just be aware if you are looking for a Bengal cat here, there has to be a better place to go where people actually honor their word. Subsequently, I have talked to many breeders today alone, that are totally legit, that were appalled at this and suggested that these people look into exiting the business. read more
