I love getting oxygen facials and a variety of others that I just discovered last spring when I signed up for a subscription plan at the spa close to home in New York. Upon moving back to NOLA, I searched Yelp for a med spa with a subscription plan and immediately made my appointment. A subscription plan is nice because going monthly is key to keeping your skin in tip top shape. Admittedly I haven't done much more than use good products throughout my adulthood but now I'm a believer! I also get the occasional laser Genesis treatments (evens skin tone, erases fine lines et), which Hickham has here as well. It's the least invasive laser (honestly, I always think lasers hurt) and leaves you positively glowing. My appointment was with Dawn and she was great! We did dermaplaning and the laser Genesis and I left loving my positively dewy skin. No downtime with Laser Genesis either. Hickham offers two kinds of subscription services, one for facials and one for laser treatments and microneedling (which is a little scary for me but I may check it out eventually). Both plans get you discounts on other products and services at the spa. I also visited with Dr. Hickham for that oh-so-crucial full body scan, which was quick and easy. I'll definitely be going back to her if and when I need to as she made me feel super comfortable. I'll be back regularly!

I am really, really sorry, Dr. Farris appears to have given up her practice and is no longer practicing. I have had a great professional relationship with Dr. Farris for over 20 years. I was shocked to read a substandard review of her. I do not aim to in anyway discount or discredit anyone else's adverse experience with Dr. Farris, but my experiences were always thorough, professional, and extremely accurate. I don't live in the Greater New Orleans región and yet I've traveled to her uptown office, Metairie office and now Metairie Road office. She is a wealth of information and committed to continuous learning. She's definitely the epitome of what doctors should strive for in the practice. Dr. Farris, you are missed. I attempted to self diagnose but was unable to self treat. Dr. Paddock was recommended by a friend. Upon calling to schedule an appointment I was able to be seen within a week. The morning of the appointment comes. I drive from Gretna to his Metairie office. I was running late - even called to ask if they still wanted me to come and they said yes - we will make it work. I arrive about 20 min past my scheduled time. The front desk lady, Joann greeted me with a "good morning" and smile! She had me fill out my new patient paperwork and then the nurse IMMEDIATELY took me back. No waiting! NO WAITING!!! The nurse, Crystal asked me about my concerns and reviewed my chart. She too was very friendly, knowledgable and inquisitive. She guaranteed the doctor would be with me shortly. She wasn't kidding. Literally moments later, this smaller than average older gentleman walks in and introduces himself, Carter Paddock. He didn't look at me funny or comment about my blue hair (like the usual response I get from people older than myself). He immediately checked my moles (non concerning) and addressed my skin issues. He diagnosed me. Gave me a prescription for it, a couple of samples and then froze this "spot" that had been irritating me because of its mere presence. Answered all of my questions and asked to see me back in 3 weeks. He seemed to know his stuff, I was impressed! I look forward to seeing him and his staff once again. I would definitely see this office for future skin issues and any beauty services that are out of my scope. So now comes the dreaded check out. Again with Joann. She is a very attractive and bubbly lady. Her smile is contagious and lights up a room. Being that I haven't satisfied my health insurance deductible I am expecting to pay a small fortune for all that was done.... To my very pleasant surprise = it was extremely affordable.
