The servers are friendly and have a good sense of humor. They use the informal "du" instead of the formal "Sie", which I appreciate. DINNER: We ordered the Filettopf, which was pork filets with mushroom and sour cream sauce. It was good, but nothing special. It's a classic dish. We also ordered the Salmon which surpassed my expectations. The sauce was made with kräuter butter, which I didn't think I would like, but it was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. DESSERT: The Creme brûlée was not very good. The consistency was more like that of a custard than a creamy pudding. The walnut ice cream that accompanied it was delicious. PRICE: The above plus 2 beers totaled 53€ roughly.

We asked for a few pieces of bread with some butter and were told they only have the appetizer of bread and tzaziki. We said we didn't want the appetizer or tzaziki - just bread and some butter. Our server said they didn't have butter (odd, since they serve breakfast). I said "really? No butter in the whole restaurant?" and she said "no" very matter of factly. She brought us the bread and tzaziki appetizer. We decided not to argue. The pizza was soggy. The tomato soup was okay. It's not worth going here again. There are plenty of other places on the island.

FOOD: We chatted-up the owner (and chef) and he brought us a book to look up different kinds of fish. He also brought two kinds of shrimp for us to try; one with preservatives and one without. Both are from the North Sea, but the un preserved one had been freshly peeled. The Scholle with mushroom and shrimp was great; soft like butter and very delicious. The Salmon steak was also very good. Highly recommended. PRICE: The above plus 3 beers totaled 48€. They also make Schlick Schluck - their own licorice-flavored liquor (20% alcohol) for sale.
