Prices are right up the middle for Swiss dining standards, which is almost a surprise given the location, view, and menu quality. Indeed, they're slightly cheaper than I'd have expected. The restaurant is very aware of vegetarian food -- which is rare in many parts of Switzerland -- and actually has multiple options, which is rarer still. To further push the rarity, the dishes have been prepared with some thought, rather than just subtracting the meat or tossing together some indifferent carbohydrates. The service is outstanding: proper and solicitous, not what it could so easily have been (stiff or snooty) given the posh restaurant and fancy hotel surroundings. Overall, a really pleasant surprise. I virtually never eat at the restaurant in a hotel where I'm staying, but the veggie options had already made me very curious; the view compounded it; and the poor weather outside sealed the deal. No regrets at all: this was a winner.

Mine was the one with the porcini mushrooms and garlic, his was the plain mushroom pizza. We both liked his a tad bit more than mine, which was a bit more "wet" while his mushrooms dried nicely in the oven. Nothing wrong with mine per se, it's just his was more to our liking. The noise pollution during the work week, starting at 7:30AM (!!!) until 4PM, is deafening and makes a stay at this hotel a total disaster! Where's the courtesy and responsibility of the hotel management to provide cautionary information to guests from abroad about this nuisance? I am extremely disappointed in how this situation is being handled by this otherwise reputable hotel! Dec. 23, 2015 Management of the hotel has taken my suggestion into consideration and posted a cautionary note about the noise situation on the reception desk as well as provided respective notes on their website. One cannot expect more and I appreciate that the hotel management followed-through on my observation which will be helpful for all future guests during the next few weeks. Thank you Ms. Hoffmann, this has restored my belief in Swiss quality!
