Planned a vow renewal for our 30th wedding anniversary on 10/1/2024. Was able to communicate effectively through emails and get everything setup. I already had plans to get flowers at a local florist, so we did the Pikake package. The whole experience was very easy and stress free! We had Rev. Kuya and he was wonderful. He reached out to us the day before our ceremony to see if we had questions and make sure we felt comfortable with the plan. He delivered a very heartfelt, special ceremony. Ian was our photographer and he was fantastic. Very easy going and wonderful to work with. Excellent photographer! He really understands lightning and timing to create the best picture possible. The images we saw on his camera screen were stunning, so I can't wait for the final versions in a few weeks. Ian was kind enough to take a few pictures with my husband's phone so we had something to show family immediately. Big thank you to Gordon Nash and his team for making the experience simple and stress free. Gordon was in contact by text with updates in the days before the ceremony. I'm pretty sure this was the most stress free wedding that's ever existed. They handle everything. The flowers were beautiful, my make up was great. I was freaking out the morning of and the wedding planner helped handle everything. Brandon the photographer was amazing. The only thing I don't know about was the music because I was in such a cloud but I'm sure it was amazing too haha. Our officiant was so kind and nice with a great demeanor. Wedding Planner: We had Joanne as our wedding planner. She often took a long time (weeks) to get back to me. The catering, flowers, and lighting options that she offered were very expensive. When I told her that I had made my own arrangements for the food, bar, flowers, cake, chairs, tables, and lighting, she was not happy. We probably cut my costs by half by booking through someone else. I felt like she was taking advantage of the fact that I don't live in Maui and was unfamiliar with the area. Thank goodness for Google! Because we hadn't booked anything but the venue and photographer through her, she refused to do anything on our wedding day. However, she insisted that she must be at the venue until we leave since we booked it through her so we paid her to sit on her butt all night. Photographer: We booked Ian to be our photographer after viewing his gallery on Paradise's website. He was not creative at all. He only had three poses: looking at the camera, looking at each other, and kissing. When we took family pictures, he didn't arrange us nor did he move the camera angle so some of the family pictures are not centered correctly and taken at an unflattering angle. He said he would photoshop the pictures that had a house in the background, but he didn't. He lighting and color was off in many of our photos too. Bottom line: Do your own research and you can find some great companies to work with in Maui. Paradise treated me like a client and wasn't very friendly, professional, creative, or helpful at all. read more

I didn't start planning my wedding when I was 4. I didn't start when I first fell in love. I didn't start when all my friends seemed to be planning their own weddings. From the moment I spoke to Joanne Earles over the phone, I was confident that I made the right choice. She was personable and professional. Then I began to communicate with my coordinator, Jo Thurman, and I felt like my best friend was helping me plan my wedding. She helped me every single step of the way and she erased any stress or worry. Jo answered each of my questions promptly and thoroughly, and sent me a wealth of pictures of different wedding sights, reception sights, etc. She gave great suggestions but was never pushy and she happily supported my decisions. All the stress was taken out of planning a wedding, because Jo handled everything. And she did it so well! Pete & I simply had to show up. I trusted that A Paradise Dream Wedding was affiliated with great vendors, and my experience showed me they definitely are. I cannot recommend the photographers enough. My hubby and I are super nervous in front of the camera, and quite unphotogenic, but our wedding album is full of gorgeous pictures from Gordon. He's amazing. Simply amazing. My flowers were done by Dellables (by Della Peacock) and I was thoroughly impressed. I told her I wanted bright Hawaiian flowers. That's it. Upon further questioning, I sent her one picture of a bouquet I liked, but then added that I didn't love it, but maybe she could kind of get the idea. This poor woman had nothing to go on! I thought I didn't really care about flowers until I saw my bouquet. I was blown away by how beautiful it was. She made a bouquet that was more beautiful than I could have imagined and was exactly my style. Della made corsages and boutonnieres for several members of my family, and her work is just gorgeous. From start to finish, I had an extremely positive experience working with the staff at A Paradise Dream Wedding. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to work with a very professional, extremely organized company who handles all the details, so you don't have to! While on vacation with my fiancee, we suddenly got the urge to get married. I had been dreading all the planning is supposed to go into a wedding. So, on a Tuesday I found their website, picked a package and called. I spoke with Joanne, who was incredibly nice and helpful. When I told her we were already on the island and leaving in a few days, she didn't have a problem, just got the details and started working. Jo Thurman was my coordinator. With two days notice, she got a License appointment setup, flowers and leis ordered, booked a minister, and got the beach permit. All we had to do was find a dress(yikes!) and show up. I can't say enough good things about the whole team. Jon Spenser was our photographer, and he put us completely at ease. We just got our pictures, and they are better than we could have ever imagined. Our minister, Kimo Kirkman, was also a joy to work with. My husband and I had an amazing experience from the beginning working with A Paradise Dream Wedding! Every time I e-mailed or called Jayanne, our wedding coordinator, she got back to me right away and made sure everything was taken care of. I could not have dreamed of a more perfect wedding thanks to her incredible planning. A week before our wedding she had to change our minister and we could not have been happier with her choice. I have never heard of anyone getting to see their wedding video the next day and have it be so beautiful. We are in love with it and still can't stop watching it! Not to mention our photos that Gordon and Brandon took...WOW! They are breathtaking!! We could not be more pleased with all of them and how fast we got them back. I began planning our wedding almost two years ago after reading many reviews and seeing Gordon's work. When I stumbled across A Paradise Dream Wedding, I looked no further! I constantly checked the website and kept up with Jayanne's blog, watching as couple after couple got married and had their photos uploaded, dreaming of "our" day (May 4th, 2015)! Every picture seemed so gorgeous and I couldn't wait to see how ours would turn out. It is so amazing to finally have "our" pictures! I decided to get married in Hawaii and started looking at photos taken by photographers in Maui. Gordon Nash's photos made the most lasting impression on me. I sent an email to Jayanne and inquired about booking dates and was soon booked with Gordon Nash for January 2016. Despite being far away, I found the planning process very easy to manage. Jayanne and I communicate very well through email and twice over the phone. Don't despair if she doesn't get back to you within 24 hours after your email. Sometimes it will be a few days before she responds as she probably has multiple wedding files to work on. As long as you are not a last minute person, it should be fine. I was very transparent with what I wanted. Often, I will send pictures of things I like so that none of us are second guessing the other. Very disappointed with the lack of service from this company and Jayanne. In corispondents emails to the Bride it was painfully of odvious everything was a template. No personalization. Jayanne forgot important details and had to be reminded several times. Additional services were contracted that were not needed. Such as an additional Event Assistant. For a wedding of less than 30 guests you don't need 2 Wedding Planners. Thank God we did hire the assistant because Jayanne never even showed up to wedding. No Call No Show!!! She failed to email the template that explains to the Bride she wouldn't be attending. How can you plan a wedding with someone be they not even show up??? Buyer beware... don't hire this company. Let me just say that Maui Wedding/Paradise Dream Wedding is the way to go! It's been a month since my wedding on Makena Cove and all I can remember was what a perfect day it was...it was the best day of my life! Maui Weddings made that happen. My husband and I decided to ditch the traditional wedding and stress that came a long with it. We found Maui Weddings while searching the internet and every phone call/email was efficient, professional, polite and very welcoming. Jo: She helped set up the dates, and photographer--wonderful! Jayanne: Our coordinator-- She was amazing as well, from setting up our marriage license appointment to making sure we had a welcome message the second we landed in Hawaii and everything in between--she is also amazing! Ian Shepherd: Words can not express how talented this man is with his photography. He captured every important moment, and those we would have never thought of. The angles of his shots, form wide angle to up close, it really looks like we were photo shopped into paradise(pure compliment--stunning pictures) Ian has an eye for stunning and fun/unconventional shots. From looking at his previous albums I had high expectations and he blew them away. His shots are so incredible they don't need any touch ups. I still cry when I see the photos and I show them off to everyone because he is amazing--and I'm not a fan of others seeing me in pictures. If you want the best photographer Ian is your man. (However with such a great company as A Paradise Dream Wedding, any of your photographers will be amazing) Reverend Dennis De Rogo: Our (obviously) wedding officiant. We didn't know Rev. De Rogo before our wedding, but this man is so passionate about his work it was like he knew us our entire lives. He spoke beautifully and we felt his love for what he does, and for marriage itself. He is a wonderful man and blowing the conche shell was just the cherry on top. The Conche shell is one Hawaiian tradition as is the Lei exchange--both very special and highly recommended! Sheena was our on-site coordinator: She too was wonderful! Helped everyone get set up, kept with time and also continued to ensure that this wedding was a stress free and beautiful as it possibly could have. Each wonderful person that worked with us through our wedding day has a very special place in our heart and we plan on keeping in touch because it was A Paradise Dream Wedding that made Feb 26, 2011 the most beautiful, and happiest day of my life. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be, and more! The house at Olowalu was amazing, and we even had whales jumping in the background the entire day! Priceless!There could not have been a better background for our pictures. Jo our co-ordinator was brilliant, she remembered so many things I would have forgotten about and helped us down to the last second before the ceremony, and after too. We can not thank her enough. We had Ian as our photographer and the photos are amazing, and he was so great and easy to work with, really funny and had great ideas and we love how the photos have come out, we cant wait to get some printed out into frames. Our videographer and assistant were also great, we are so glad we paid the extra to get an edited video of the day, it was well worth it and it was delivered so fast we could watch it whilst we were still in Maui! Kimo our minister was also great, a really nice funny guy who was perfect for us. Andrea did my hair, and I was more than pleased, it has never looked so good, she did exactly what I wanted but even better! I would recommend her to anyone. Tiffany who did the catering was so good, all of our guests could not stop talking about the food for days afterwards and some even got the coconut shrimp recipe off her to make at home! We have had several guests mention that they found our wedding to be a really fun day, and said they had only seen ones like that in movies before! And when your guests have come half way around the world for your wedding it is really important they have a good time too, so that worked definitely worked out! This was our first trip to Hawaii and our wedding day was a perfect, stress free day. We could not have been more happy with everyone that worked on our wedding. From the first day I spoke with Jayanne, when I was still looking for the perfect photographer and planner, I knew I made the right choice. Jayanne made everything so easy, it only took a couple phone calls and emails for the plan to come together. She knew from the beginning how important it was for us to have an experience we would never forget and also the pictures and video to help us relive those memories whenever we wanted. He stayed through our entire photo shoot catching video even after the ceremony. We never imagined we would get all that we did. When we got to watch the video it truly took us back to that moment. I knew that I wanted the perfect photographs from our wedding and after looking at Gordon's portfolio I knew I would get it. I was wanting Gordon Nash to cover my wedding back in 2008 for years prior. I actually picked him out before I got engaged. However, After 2 and half years later I find myself more and more disappointed. I still am so upset inside that he never got a picture of my family together (my mom, dad, brother, me and husband) After all the money my parents spent with A Paradise Dream Wedding, they didn't even get a family portrait. I never even got detailed photos of all the favors, decorations, food....everything we created and made from scratch...no record of it. The photographers I know and learn about, the more upset I get with how much more I paid and for so much less. Even photographer Robert Evans charges a flat rate of $3,295 for a photographer which covers up to 10 hours for your wedding. This is the guy who covered Katie Holmes and Tom Cruises' wedding, and even Jennifer Anniston and Brad Pitt's wedding to name a couple!!! WTF!!!?? A Paradise Dream Wedding only allows a certain numbers of photos to be taken during a very short time....there was no way that I could even get the process of getting ready covered....and we got like the biggest package. In addition, he may have beautiful shots online of other weddings but yours will only have a select few that are stunning. Also, the person they set me up with for makeup did such a horrible job and they said she was the best on the island!??? Last but not least the priest they hooked me up with (Kimo) was an ass. We composed our entire ceremony ourselves...He didn't even take the time to review it ahead of time so he could speak comfortably. He even forgot it and didn't have it or know it when he showed up at the altar. Thank goodness I had a copy just in case...but then he droned on reading it like I really F^%&* up his day and he wished he was somewhere else. I am not a crazy person for one star but after 2.5 years contemplating it, I am so upset with the photography and everyone they hooked me up with I could cry. The most important/expensive/memorable day of our lives was barely even captured. Like it was just a business for all these professionals....they did not and do not genuinely care for feelings about your day. BTW look for a photographer who is willing to include an engagement or practice run with you so both you and the photographer can feel more comfortable and natural...a practice run before the wedding day. We were never offered such a thing. Even though it was a destination wedding we could have done a run through a few days before The only reason I am already considering a vow renewal is because I was hoping I could catch pictures of moments and things from our wedding that were never captured (yet should have with no question) by Paradise Dream Wedding. BTW I contracted on for everything else directly....catering, decor, cake etc. None of these things went wrong at all. Also, as a photographer myself, I am completely disappointed with Gordon Nash and his assistant. I made sure to get pictures with everyone as they arrived at the reception....but my husband's grandparents...this image had half their heads cut off. Now my husbands grandma passed away last Christmas and that was the only we had with us and both his grandparents....But heads are half missing. And this picture was supposed to be taken by a professional??? WTF!? Seriously, I used ot be mad but now I just want to cry at all the lost moments because of a Paradise Dream Wedding. read more

We wanted to get married in Maui just the two of us. Living in Chicago made it difficult to organize our wedding. A friend who had done the same thing, recommended this company. They took care of everything, it all ran flawlessly with one exception. The hairdresser got the address wrong (despite being e-mailed the address, talking on the phone, etc...) and showed up an hour late and had to rush the hair and makeup. This made for a bit of a stressful start, picture applying sunblock in your poofy wedding dress on the drive to the beach for the wedding. We got married at the Cove, all their sites are in south Maui. This was a great choice, we had just two onlookers, very quiet little beach with volcanic rock and some palm trees. We worked with Branden Sequiera the photographer and Kimo Kirkman the minister. I forget the musician's name but all three of these guys are extremely capable. The ceremony was just what we wanted, Kimo is a complete professional, especially with that conch! Branden's pictures were great, we're going to cherish these forever. Because of the problem with the hairdresser, Jo Thurman, my coordinator, gave us some extra touchup pictures by Branden. I think this company is worth the money, you will have so much less worry when planning a destination wedding. read more

Well I chose them because I wanted the copyrights to all the photos, and I wanted a large portion of those photos to be edited/color corrected. And finally I wanted a notable photographer/company. BRANDEN was our photographer and he was AMAZING! The woman who booked it was very nice, i did feel she was pressuring me away from a beach wedding towards my hotel but after i stood firm she dropped it.And she still did fine on getting me all the contract info etc in a timely manner (rare for Hawaii!). Branden was great about answering my email inquiries quickly and was so nice. He was very early and actually helped organize the wedding, so thank you!!! He was very knowledgeable,organized and focused but still personable, laid back and eager to please and include whatever shots/poses,etc that we wanted. His focus and direction allowed us to get the most shots out of our time with him, his experience and knowledge provided great work that I will treasure forever and his laid back and personable nature allowed all of us to feel at ease, not rushed or bossed around but like we were in good hands-which was such a comfort because I know nothing about photography! He took extra shots and even edited extra shots! So nice! and we got our photos in just under 3 weeks! (norm is 4-8 weeks). My only regret? Not booking more time! My advice? Go with the best, figure out the time you need. . . and add an hour at least! After all you are in Hawaii, the scenery is a big part of why you're getting married there and often times, many loved ones cant make destination weddings so photos are imperative! and remember only two things from the wedding last a life time: the rings and the photos so splurge on your photos! also if cost seems steep, remember they are giving you all the copyrights to all your pictures! this means if the company goes out of business of photog goes MIA in five years or even 20 years you still have your pictures, you cut out the middle man, you dont HAVE to buy your pics from them only(but you can). This makes it very budget friendly and so worth it to know- you will always have those photos! Bottom line: worth the money, great photographer- I happily and enthusiastically recommend! read more

Our experience with Paradise Dream was above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. We planned our wedding from San Francisco, never visiting Maui throughout the entire process. I had never been to the island before and Jayanne was there from beginning to end, with absolutely anything I needed and it worked out just as she and I planned and prepared for - only better. We could not be happier with our wedding photos, Gordon and Mami outdid themselves and our time with them gave us some of the greatest memories of our wedding day that we will cherish forever. I cannot stress how incredible Richardo and John were during our ceremony. Richardo took every single note that I provided to heart and officiated one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies I have ever attended. John made the day extra special with a personalized song and the most perfect and authentic rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' while I walked the aisle. We will forever have a special place in our hearts for that song and we appreciate it so much. Lastly, Shena was there to ensure our wedding day went as smoothly as we planned and she, once again, outdid our wildest expectations. She walked us through everything and stood there to make sure it all worked out without a problem. The afternoon before my wedding day I was lying on the beach going over last minute details with Jayanne and feeling so grateful that I made the decision to have A Paradise Dream Wedding plan our wedding. I was relaxed knowing that Jayanne had everything organized and we could simply savour the day. And that's exactly what we did! Our wedding was exactly what we hoped for. I had an amazing experience with this company. My first phone call was easy and I was able to pick out everything I wanted and had my cost right then. I was able to get my first choice photographer, and he was amazing! Brandon took so many wonderful shots that I still have a hard time choosing my favorite! Kimo, the officiant, was like family even though we had just met! I loved every aspect of my wedding and there is nothing I would have changed. I had a great experience with A Paradise Dream Wedding and Photographers Hawaii! As I'm sure is the case with most destination wedding brides, I was nervous about having not seen the location, not met any of the vendors, and in general just having to trust that planning it all from a distance would work out. Fortunately, it all worked out great! It even didn't matter that we didn't have a rehearsal. Jayanne was great in all of the aspects of long-distance planning, and Shena was great as the on-site coordinator at the wedding. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised how seamless everything was considering that we didn't have a rehearsal. Everything went great and we were both able to feel relaxed on the wedding day and to just enjoy the day and not have to worry. We were in very capable hands with Gordon Nash and Ian Shepherd as photographers, and we are very happy with the pictures we received after the wedding. We had our dream wedding in August! The Paradise Dream wedding team did an incredible job. Everyone says something will go wrong on your wedding day and I was lucky that nothing major did thanks to the great help we received from Paradise Dream. We decided to do both the trash the dress photography and the wedding day photography. Arien our photographer did a phenomenal job! The pictures are breathtaking and so gorgeous we can't even believe that they are real. He made us feel comfortable even though it isn't always easy to be photographed for hours. Jayanne our coordinator did an excellent job of organizing all of the little details of our day from the hair and make up to the beautiful ceremony even down to the little detail of releasing butterflies. She made things painless and we couldn't have asked for better service. Our minister did a fantastic job of providing a traditional Hawaiian ceremony and it really was the most amazing moment in our lives. Our Maui wedding was a dream come true, thanks in large part to Jayanne and a Paradise Dream Wedding. Jayanne was patient and helpful every step of the way. We couldn't have pulled off our perfect day without her! We feel so lucky to have had Arien as our photographer. The photos are beautiful and he made the experience fun and relaxing. The photo retouching turned out so natural looking. Brian, the videographer was really helpful with instructions and gathering people for photos/video. He had such creative ideas to include in the video. What a great way to remember our special day. Robert was our minister and he did an amazing ceremony. It was a perfect blend of heartfelt words and a touch of humor. His Hawaiian attire was just what we hoped for. Hale played the ukele beautifully and it really helped to create the perfect exotic Hawaiian mood. Andrea did my in room hair and makeup and really captured the look I wanted. She was funny and helpful and I'm so glad she was there to help me get ready. On the day it was Shena, the insite coordinator that helped things run smoothly. She passed messages back and forth and got me where I needed to be ... it made the day much less stressful :) We really couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help make our dreams come true! Aloha from Tokyo, Japan!!! I can't believe one whole month has gone by since our wedding day - May 14, 2016! I'm a local Maui girl currently residing in Japan, where I met my husband. We always knew we wanted to get married on a beach on the southside of the island where I grew up. The team at A Paradise Dream Wedding made this possible and our beautiful ceremony was just as we imagined it to be. The best thing was that everything could be booked together with their packages - the coordinator, minister, and photographer. This made the whole planning process much easier! Best Decision Ever! Jayanne, Gordon, and staff were a delight to work with! We came from Georgia with 13 family members in tow. Jayanne was fabulous to deal with. She answered ever question, was easy to talk to and also get in contact with, even though we had an 8 hour time difference. She helped me navigate setting up our wedding and her suggestions and attention to detail were great. I spent a lot of time discussing hair and make-up and a video. I thought that it was a waste of money at the time, but Jayanne won me over, and boy was she right. I am so glad I listened to her on hair and make-up. Caroline did my make-up and was amazing. I looked flawless and ready for my day. Brian did our video and even my husband said it was worth every penny and so much more. He captured our beautiful ceremony and I think we have watched it a dozen times already. Jayanne made me feel comfortable about the whole process and helped in selected everything. Gordon was my photographer and I can't even begin to describe how wonderful he is. His photos are amazing and he captured every pose that I wanted. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. This is truly the best company and group of photographers on the island. We got married 11-11-11- one of the busiest days of the year. A Paradise Dream Wedding was exactly that- a dream wedding. I absolutely had the best day of my life! Jayanne, the coordinator, was amazing. Everything was perfect from Gordon, the photographer, to Tino, the minister. I had Jayanne coordinate everything down to the ukelele player (also amazing). Jayanne was awesome as far as communication- always emailing right back and calling if I ever had any questions. Not one thing went wrong on my special day- a huge relief considering I was planning the wedding from California. Friends kept asking if I was busy planning- I didn't have to do a thing- Jayanne took care of everything. I just ordered pictures from the website- AMAZING! The process was quick and easy.
