Good pastries, good bread, uneven salad. This Koller's is within sight of the Gossau train station (look left as you exit); the Ruchbrot to take home was fine, the Chäsekuchen mit Zwiebeln was cheesier and a little sweeter than many quiches, but also very oniony. The ciabatta sandwich with tuna may have been the pick of the meal; the Berliner was a little crusty on the bottom, but made it work. The salad was definitely the weak point --- good carrots, beans, and lettuce on top, but the green beans were wildly overcooked, and the lower layer of cucumber-with-vinegar and kohlrabi-with-mayo was positively swimming in sauces. read more
