Jason coordinated and provided the DJ, Photobooth and Uplight Services. He and his team did a fantastic job. The uplights paired so well with our wall drapery and elevated the space. My husband and I along with our guests had a blast with the photobooth. Also, one of the highlights of the evening was when Jason played our requested Filipino songs- Awitin Mo at Isasayak Ko- and the crowd went nuts haha. Core memory for sure! Justin provided the emcee services and did a fantastic job with engaging our guests. Justin was also meticulous and took the time to get to know me and my husbands details like how we met, our favourite color and more to ensure a seamless program! After contacting numerous sound companies around Oahu, David with Akahi had the best pricing and options. He was very responsive and always responded to inquiries in a timely manner. I contacted David to ask about hiring an emcee and he offered to provide the emcee services at NO ADDITIONAL cost (Awesome)! On the day of the event, David arrived early with ample time to set up. I experienced technical difficulties when trying to set up my slide show, and David went out of his way to help me get the stressful situation resolved even though it was not his responsibility. The sound equipment he used was perfect for the event and I even received compliments from the bands that David did an excellent job providing sound for them. If you are looking to book a sound man for your next event, consider contacting David at Akahi Productions. You will not be disappointed in his service! Mahalo plenty to David and Akahi Productions! I will definitely be using them again for all my future events.

From the very beginning, Brandon was incredibly kind, professional, and easy to work with. He communicated with me by phone and text, which made everything simple and smooth during a time when I had so many things on my mind. We were able to quickly secure the date, and the booking process was very easy. I paid the deposit through Venmo and the balance at the event. On the day of the service, Brandon handled everything beautifully. His setup and breakdown were effortless, and his music created such a meaningful atmosphere throughout the entire evening. During the funeral program, his music added a level of comfort and reflection that truly touched everyone in attendance. What made the day even more special was the music he played during the dinner reception afterward. It brought warmth to the room and allowed family and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate my mom's life together. One moment that meant so much to me personally was when Brandon took the time to learn a song just for the service -- "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. Hearing that song played live during the service was incredibly emotional and moving. Many people who attended told me how powerful and beautiful that moment was. Later on, Brandon shared with me that he now performs that song at other events because of how meaningful it was. Knowing that a small piece of my mom's memory continues through the music he plays is something that means a lot to me. If you are ever looking for someone to provide music for a special event, I cannot recommend Brandon Onishi enough. We were in corespondence with Kelly who was helpful in getting us the package we needed. We also got a 10 percent discount from Yelp! Kelly was our point person and helped coordinate our timeline. She also was the laision with the band. Before the party, I sent her the script and timeline. On the day of the party, the band showed up to set up at 10a for our 11a party. They said they thought they started at 1030a. I said they started at 11:30 a.m. Kelly (Balloon artist) and face painter came onsite at just about 11a. One major disappointment I had was that the MC refused to facilitate our script. We thought it was farily light and simple, including directions to the bathroom, where the rubbish is, then calling up various people to help facilitate the program and games. Luckily, my sister in law stepped in and did the MCing. The quality of the balloons was excellent, as well as the face painting. The live band was REALLY good, loud, and brought excellent energy to the party. Everyone complimented us on the entertainment. Eddie, the band leader, brought us a screen and projector for our slideshow. It went off without a hitch. The band continued to play until after most of our guests left. Unfortunately when they took their break, most of our guests started leaving. In hindsight, I would have everyone sang happy birthday a little later so people stuck around to hear their second set. Also, I asked the face painter if we could make announcement that they would be closing in 15 minutes and she said no because people will line up for their face painting/balloon. I thought that was the point. But, oh well. Maybe people luckily got their face painted and balloon early. Overall, it was a little disorganized, but it came together and was a nice party.

This review is a bit tardy, but I am finally coming around to giving some well-deserved praise…read more We found this place through Yelp when we were scouting a dance instructor for our wedding first dance. I have to hand it to my fellow Yelpers for the stellar recommendation; Ed was great. He is clearly passionate about what he does, and he and his wife Juliet are very accommodating. We have very busy schedules, and they rescheduled our sessions multiple times and met us in the evenings after work and even on weekends. We would be exhausted and many times did not even feel like going to dance lessons, but then we would end up having so much fun. Afterwards, we were always glad that we went. At times, it was very stress-relieving and even calming to go in. This is largely due to the fact that Ed and Juliet are such nice people, and they make dancing fun. Just to provide some context, we attended private dance lessons about once a week for a couple of months before our wedding. We had no real prior dancing experience. I usually feel really uncomfortable dancing. But Ed was very patient and went through basic dance steps just to get us more used to things. After we finally picked a first dance song, he practiced everything from the entrance through to the end of the dance. He tailored the moves to us and our song. There were many times that we just changed things so that they just felt more comfortable. We did not get a one-size-fits-all type of dance. That makes it all the more special. Just so you know Ed used to be a dance instructor for, I think, Arthur Murray before he had his own studio, so in going with Ed, you get Arthur Murray instruction but for a much more reasonable price. Due to an injury, he cannot dance as much as he would like to, but he often times would still show us how to do certain dance moves by bringing in Juliet to our dance session. I think Ed is due for a surgery, so he will be up and running again. However, the bottom line is that the best instructor is one who can teach people who do not know how to dance how to dance. And Ed is very good at that.
