My husband's brother in law recommended this spot as the go-to on the boardwalk for a frozen treat. We tried the chocolate vanilla swirl dipped in rainbow sprinkles. And when I say dipped, I meant it was absolutely coated. It was a nice and tasty treat for the hot weather, but it did start melting almost immediately. I have been coming here for 30 years. This weekend was the first time I ever experienced bad service. The guy this past Friday made a crappy cone that was lopsided and messy. Didn't really care. But to say the lease. First time ever bad service but I can highly recommend because they higher kiddos and I'm sure the management will fix that issue. Flavor of the vanilla and orange sherbet was mild in both sweetness and the tartness for the sherbet. It was pretty good custard, but quite forgettable due to the lack of distinct texture or flavor. Service - 4/5. Friendly staff. Their machine was down to make the twist I wanted so they improvised. Value - 4/5. For $6 they give you a good serving of their frozen custard. I got a peanut butter chocolate swirl in a waffle cone that was dipped in chocolate and peanuts, and I also had the soft serve dipped in chocolate. What a heavenly experience! They have a couple of Kohr Bros locations in OCMD but this one is conveniently located on the Boardwalk. I ordered the orange and vanilla twist and it was the perfect consistency. It was dense and incredibly creamy; tasted just like an orange creamsicle! Surprisingly, it was reasonably priced even though it was on the Boardwalk and the person who served it gave me a generous portion. Was at Ocean city and in the mood for some good soft serve and stumbled on Kohr brothers as we were walking around. A lot of places on the boardwalk advertise that they have "soft ice cream" but Kohr is specifically frozen custard which is my preferred version. Really love that they have such a large selection of flavors and not just the typical vanilla, chocolate, and twists that you see elsewhere. I opted for the peanut butter soft serve with sprinkles as I was sharing with my nephew and it was delicious! The peanut butter was nice and subtle and the custard is much thicker than your typical soft serve. Plus I love it they had a lot of different cone options as well. Pretty good ice cream. It melts super quick though so you must be fast on those hot days. Unless you like to slurp and drink your ice cream like soup. The chocolate cone was a good investment because it held together better to keep the ice cream from leaking out. Although even in the end I still used a lot of napkins. Grateful for it being on the board walk and really close. I think I want to try their sundaes next time though! read more

I love some frozen custard. I grew up going to this shack in Winchester, VA called Packs Frozen Custard so I got hooked at an early age. If you don't know what frozen custard is it's essentially ice cream but more dense, rich, and creamy. It's soft serve style. Kohr's Bros are supposedly the creators of custard and started in Coney Island about 100 years ago, literally. They do it right, the custard is bomb. Menu wise, I think they do cone's, bowls, and milkshakes. They offer chocolate dipped and a few different toppings. This location in Ocean City has a wide variety of custard flavors which you can mix and match. I always go with a large twist of vanilla and chocolate, dipped in chocolate in a waffle cone. Then I put the cone in a bowl and smash it up, it's amazing, I should trademark it. This location has two different lines to order from so even during peak season you shouldn't have to wait too long. The people are nice and the custard is always consistently delicious. I wish they still had the Kohr Bros in Rockville that was literally 500 yards from my house :( But I'll be back in Ocean City this summer smashing Kohr's Bros per usual. read more

Went to order a simple cone with a cup on the side, a polite young gentleman took my order, then next thing i know, a behemoth of a woman stomps over and asks for my payment. When the young man hands me my order, I politely thank him and ask HIM for a spoon (again politely). The freakshow lady sarcastically tells me "yeahhh what else do u want me to get you" in the actual rudest tone ive ever heard from someone who works in customer service. Me, offended, I said to myself "that was a little rude" and the gentleman heard me, he said "she was kidding" and the lady chimes in, "yeah i was kidding deal with it". Me now in utter shock walks away, and my friend heard her call me and my other friend "idiots, absolute idiots." Overall, this encounter ruined the ice cream experience. I love soft sever ice cream and this place definitely knows how to do it. I got a regular vanilla cone ice cream and a friend got a vanilla cone ice cream that was dipped in chocolate. It was VERY messy to eat the dipped ice cream, since every bite broke multiple chocolate bits. Prepare to get messy and remember to ask for a ton of napkins! This is my favorite sweets place on the boardwalk. The frozen custard is out of this world and the small is not small at all. You can get flavors in a twist and I got chocolate vanilla swirl but there was also strawberry banana swirl, orange cream and vanilla swirl , chocolate mint swirl etc. Or you can just get one flavor. Sugar cones and waffle cones as a choice or a cup. Minus one star because the service was rude. Stood at the counter for a couple of minutes before the girl even acknowledged my presence. I was on my iPhone trying to find the real location and check but no luck. I swear it exists! So anyways... My first time at Kohr's and I liked it alot. Im not sure if Ive had frozen custard before but the whole time I was eating it I imagined little fat molecules sticking to my insides because it was so creamy. It just had to be fattening. I only got the vanilla because im boring when it comes to ice cream but there were alot of different flavors. The regular size is only $5.
