Went for Dessert Food - 4/5. Frozen custard was very smooth to the point of lacking texture when eaten. Flavor of the vanilla and orange sherbet was mild in both sweetness and the tartness for the sherbet. It was pretty good custard, but quite forgettable due to the lack of distinct texture or flavor. Service - 4/5. Friendly staff. Their machine was down to make the twist I wanted so they improvised. Value - 4/5. For $6 they give you a good serving of their frozen custard. I love soft serve. It is by far my favorite frozen treat. I got a peanut butter chocolate swirl in a waffle cone that was dipped in chocolate and peanuts, and I also had the soft serve dipped in chocolate. What a heavenly experience! The ice cream was delicious and a good temp. Not so cold that it's overwhelming, but not melting. And it sure was soft, exactly how I like it. I cannot wait to get a Kohr brothers cone next time I'm down the ocean! read more

Good food Logan the supervisor at kohr bros was the nicest boy ive ever met and he...was very helpful in everything that i asked for and gave us very good tasting custard. it was creamy and delicious... him and the other worker shamus were very quick and made sure to make our orders as best as they could and were very kind when we forgot to ask for sprinkles. they gave it to us after the fact by taking a cup and dumping it on top of our ice cream. i love kohr bros and logan is grate read more

They have a couple of Kohr Bros locations in OCMD but this one is conveniently located on the Boardwalk. I ordered the orange and vanilla twist and it was the perfect consistency. It was dense and incredibly creamy; tasted just like an orange creamsicle! Surprisingly, it was reasonably priced even though it was on the Boardwalk and the person who served it gave me a generous portion. Definitely add this to your food tour when you're on the Boardwalk, you won't regret it! read more

Was at Ocean city and in the mood for some good soft serve and stumbled on Kohr brothers as we were walking around. A lot of places on the boardwalk advertise that they have "soft ice cream" but Kohr is specifically frozen custard which is my preferred version. Really love that they have such a large selection of flavors and not just the typical vanilla, chocolate, and twists that you see elsewhere. I opted for the peanut butter soft serve with sprinkles as I was sharing with my nephew and it was delicious! The peanut butter was nice and subtle and the custard is much thicker than your typical soft serve. Plus I love it they had a lot of different cone options as well. I'll be back next time I visit OCMD! read more

Pretty good ice cream. It melts super quick though so you must be fast on those hot days. Unless you like to slurp and drink your ice cream like soup. The chocolate cone was a good investment because it held together better to keep the ice cream from leaking out. Although even in the end I still used a lot of napkins. Grateful for it being on the board walk and really close. I think I want to try their sundaes next time though! read more

Ice cream= less than average; employees =even worse. Went to order a simple cone with a cup on the side, a polite young gentleman took my order, then next thing i know, a behemoth of a woman stomps over and asks for my payment. When the young man hands me my order, I politely thank him and ask HIM for a spoon (again politely). The freakshow lady sarcastically tells me "yeahhh what else do u want me to get you" in the actual rudest tone ive ever heard from someone who works in customer service. Me, offended, I said to myself "that was a little rude" and the gentleman heard me, he said "she was kidding" and the lady chimes in, "yeah i was kidding deal with it". Me now in utter shock walks away, and my friend heard her call me and my other friend "idiots, absolute idiots." Overall, this encounter ruined the ice cream experience. If you want to get soft serve and get absolutely berated for asking for a spoon, then this is the place for you! read more

I love some frozen custard. I grew up going to this shack in Winchester, VA called Packs Frozen Custard so I got hooked at an early age. If you don't know what frozen custard is it's essentially ice cream but more dense, rich, and creamy. It's soft serve style. Kohr's Bros are supposedly the creators of custard and started in Coney Island about 100 years ago, literally. They do it right, the custard is bomb. Menu wise, I think they do cone's, bowls, and milkshakes. They offer chocolate dipped and a few different toppings. This location in Ocean City has a wide variety of custard flavors which you can mix and match. I always go with a large twist of vanilla and chocolate, dipped in chocolate in a waffle cone. Then I put the cone in a bowl and smash it up, it's amazing, I should trademark it. This location has two different lines to order from so even during peak season you shouldn't have to wait too long. The people are nice and the custard is always consistently delicious. I wish they still had the Kohr Bros in Rockville that was literally 500 yards from my house :( But I'll be back in Ocean City this summer smashing Kohr's Bros per usual. read more

I love soft sever ice cream and this place definitely knows how to do it. I got a regular vanilla cone ice cream and a friend got a vanilla cone ice cream that was dipped in chocolate. It was VERY messy to eat the dipped ice cream, since every bite broke multiple chocolate bits. Prepare to get messy and remember to ask for a ton of napkins! Incredibly rude customer service, which I refuse to pay for. 1st - cashier saw customers waiting and completed her conversation before coming to the register to take our order. When she got there never greeted us at all. When my family decided to leave and go elsewhere, she made some smart comment. Off to Dumsers we went. If you're craving ice cream, or nostalgia, I highly recommend stopping here. The custard is so sweet and the cones are reminiscent of childhood. There are a lot of flavors to choose from and they can hand dip your cone! It's pricier than a normal ice cream shop but worth it! They people working there were super entertaining and upbeat and didn't rush you through. read more

This is my favorite sweets place on the boardwalk. The frozen custard is out of this world and the small is not small at all. You can get flavors in a twist and I got chocolate vanilla swirl but there was also strawberry banana swirl, orange cream and vanilla swirl , chocolate mint swirl etc. Or you can just get one flavor. Sugar cones and waffle cones as a choice or a cup. Minus one star because the service was rude. Stood at the counter for a couple of minutes before the girl even acknowledged my presence. Finally I just asked for what I wanted and still without even a glance at me, she rolled her eyes and got my cone, handed it to me and said the price. I paid , no thank you, no see ya later, just took my money and acted like I was never there. Good thing the frozen custard is so good because the service is rude. read more

OK...ill be honest. This isnt the location that I ate at. But, the location I ate at is in this vicinity but does not seem to exist on yelp or even the Kohrs website. I was on my iPhone trying to find the real location and check but no luck. I swear it exists! So anyways... My first time at Kohr's and I liked it alot. Im not sure if Ive had frozen custard before but the whole time I was eating it I imagined little fat molecules sticking to my insides because it was so creamy. It just had to be fattening. I only got the vanilla because im boring when it comes to ice cream but there were alot of different flavors. The regular size is only $5. If I come across a Kohrs again I will definitely be hitting it up. read more

When I think of summertime, the beach and boardwalks I think of Kohr Bros. They serve frozen custard with the traditional vanilla chocolate swirl and vanilla orange sherbert swirl. Through the years they have added new flavors like peanut butter and dulce de leche (spanish caramel). They offer cup/cone and both chocolate and rainbow sprinkles (or jimmies depending where you are from) I always stick with a classic...small vanilla in a cup with chocolate sprinkles. I didn't go to this one, I went to the one at the entrance to the carnival rides. But since it's a chain, I'm guessing they are all quite similar. The polish ice here is super icy while having a creamy consistency. The ice is refreshing and perfect for a hot day at the beach. They offer you samples of each flavor. I suggest you get a half and half that way you can get two flavors in one cup! (Take a look at my attached picture to see how they present a half and half cup of polish ice.) I really like their watermelon flavor. It reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher in its frozen form. The mango flavor almost tastes like I am taking a huge bite out of a super ripe mango. The cotton candy is not super sweet and it tastes more like sweet nectar. This place is a must if you happen to be on the boardwalk :) FYI-- this stand is very close to first street!

My Italian cream ice had chunks of ice in it and was not the smooth Rita's consistency. The girl at the window could care less about me as the second she was done taking my order she was no longer interested in interacting and asking me if I wanted a receipt. She just sat there and played on her phone. Will not be visiting this Rita's ever again.

I've been going to Ocean City, MD since I was a kid. I have seen Dumser's Dairyland every single…read moretime I've been there. And yet...not once -- NOT ONCE -- had I ever actually stopped in. Why? I truly cannot explain it. But this year? Birthday trip. Solo adventure. No one to stop me from making questionable (but ultimately excellent) life decisions. And that's how I ended up at Dumser's at 5pm on a random March Saturday, fully prepared to eat a gigantic ice cream sundae for dinner. Because I do what I want. I walked in and found a few people happily enjoying their ice cream, keeping things low-key and wholesome...while I approached the counter with a plan to absolutely disrupt the peace. I had my eye on the Peanut Butter Supreme Super Sundae -- three dips of peanut butter fudge ice cream topped with peanut butter topping, hot fudge, Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, and a cherry. A masterpiece. A commitment. A lifestyle choice. My original plan was to order it with just one scoop, pretending to be reasonable. I explained my plan to the very kind gentleman behind the counter, and he gently said, "We can do that, but it'll be almost the same price as the full Super Sundae...we do have lids. Do you have access to a freezer?" Sir. That was all the encouragement I needed. Upgrade me. Immediately. I handed over $13.05 and braced myself for greatness. Moments later, I was holding what can only be described as a mixing bowl-sized sundae, and I have never felt more aligned with my life choices. I found a table, sat down, and dug in with zero hesitation. And let me tell you -- this thing was not just big, it was GOOD. The peanut butter fudge ice cream was rich and creamy, the toppings were generous (shoutout to that employee for not holding back), and every bite felt like a reward for finally making it into Dumser's after literal decades of driving past it. I made it through two scoops and most of the toppings before I had to admit temporary defeat. I returned to the counter, humbled but determined, and asked for a lid. There was absolutely no chance I was letting the rest of that masterpiece go to waste. After a quick break, a little walk, and some fresh ocean air, I finished the rest while watching the sunset just a few blocks away -- which, honestly, felt like the most perfect ending to the most unhinged and delightful dinner choice I've made in a while. I'm slightly embarrassed it took me this long to finally try Dumser's...because WOW, I've been missing out since childhood. Safe to say, this is now a mandatory stop every time I'm in Ocean City from here on out!
