It is REAL 50s & 60s vintage, not costumes and not 80's 90's. I purchased: Plaid wool pants, plaid mini skirt, blue wool jumper dress, black evening wear dress with matching jacket and a peach silk dress with matching full length jacket. Clearly the shop buyers have very good taste! Prices are less than vintage shops in Minneapolis.

La Rue Marche is one of the few exceptions to the rule where I could wander around a store for hours. And in this case, I have over the years. Their clothes are adorable and inspire me to step outside of my fashion comfort zone, comfortably. They have many vintage pieces also have a collection of items that all flow very well together. In my mind I would like to copy and paste everything on hangers into my own closet. I'd be a very happy girl. But it doesn't stop there! They have really unique jewelry, accessories, home goods and novelty items too. I've bought a pendant, hair bows and a candle here to show the range of what's offered. They've recently remodeled which led me to believe that this was a new store with new ownership, but I was pleased to see that it was the same, just re-vamped and freshened up. If you ever find yourself in Hudson and want to get lost in a dreamy world of gorgeous clothes, accessories, shoes and things for your home, come here and wander until your heart's content.

They do have some vintage around the store and a ton of very fun and one of a kind jewelry items. You literally could spend a great deal of time in here as so much to take in. They're not open super late, but you can do an order for pick up on your way home for dinner too. My normal go-to is their salads because I like a light lunch (I'm a sucker for a good Sesame Oriental and theirs comes with grilled chicken breast, chow mein noodles, water chestnuts, carrots, sunflower seeds, and a flavorful sesame oriental dressing,) but I was super hungry today so I opted for the Bistro Chicken Salad with a dilled chicken salad, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, sunflower seeds, and mayo (but I got the apple sauce instead of the kettle cooked chips for my free side, because you know, balance, but then I had massive envy when my boyfriend chomped on his clearly fresh and amazing chips. Oh well, next time!) Per usual, the service and food was great, and I love that we got a free cookie with our entree purchase (Thursday special.) My boyfriend usually gets their wraps, but I saw that their menu now has rice bowls and flatbread pizzas! Can't wait to come back and try some of those.
