This was one our serendipitous finds (not much else was open at that time on Sunday). But a rare find it was.
This small bar tucked deep in the historic quarter of the city is full of character (and characters). As Americanos we were an instant curiosity and a few of the regular patrons were delighted to be able to practice their English on us.
The Rock n Roll bar lives up to its name with head shots of rock and blues performers covering the walls and soulful music plays non-stop from the stereo.
They are not cheap with the pours and the prices are very reasonable. We sampled a bit of the food and found it not outstanding but tasty and passable for a neighborhood joint.
They do specialize in a particular drink that I'm not sure has a name but it starts out as a martini and then takes a sharp left turn and becomes a delightful mystery complete with a slice of orange and a green olive....I had two.
If you are after local color this is it. We will be back. read more
