So I change the radio station to see if I liked it. It was actually quite good. Music from the 80s and 90s, I pretty much know every song that's playing lol. On a sidenote, at lunchtime they had a lunch giveaway be Caller 10.... I decided what the heck, caller number three... kept trying... caller 7... tried one more time and yes I got it caller 10. The DJ, David had asked me the prerequisite questions of how to identify me. I started joking around with him and Connie was in the background, started talking to me also. So not only did I win a 2 foot porter sub sandwich, but I enjoyed talking to both of them on the phone for quite a few minutes. Just really nice jovial people. I had them laughing a little bit too... So if you like some of the best music from the 80s and 90s, check this station out. Also, Lotis radio corporation has six other radio stations in this building.

I also love tuning in driving around town running errands. They do a lot of good for the community and give back so much. I also won tickets to the Reno aces from them which was a memory that my family will always remember and cherish. When I went to pick them up- Lisa was so kind and personable! The morning show is one of the most terrible shows in throughout the country. This radio station has been delivering bad radio content and they keep making bad decisions. The Frank Show was a decent Radio program from Arizona that they Piped in, but they decided to replace with the Rob, Arney, and Dawn Show.The Rob, Arney, and Dawn show is a program that is piped in from Sacramento and the its morning garbage. They don't care about Reno/Tahoe Nevada and the morning shows content sounds like a garbage disposal trying to grind up an endless supply of garbage. The music on Rock 1045 is a bunch of crap. They pick the same 25 songs and play them again and again. The radio content sucks and is a good example of poor managed corporate run radio. I personally recommend listening to 1057 or 1009 compared to this crappy station.

I DON'T like what KUNR did when my husband and I made a classic vehicle donation to them documented in writing to be $25,500. We'd FIRST obtained TWO certified classic vehicle appraisals from two different properly liscensed classic vehicle appraisal businesses of our classic vehicle. BOTH appraisals were within $200 of $25,500. We first contacted KUNR Vehicle Donation about our $25,500 CLASSIC car donation. We first SPOKE with KUNR Vehilce Donation about our $25,500 CLASSIC car donation. We first provided KUNR Donation WITH the TWO certified classic vehicle appraisals of our classic vehicle at around $25,500. KUNR Vehilce Donation then made arrangements to pickup our $25,500 CLASSIC car donation. We were than HORRIFIED to later receive in the mail from KUNR a "receipt for a $500 tax deduction"?!?! We were ripped off!!!! Somebody at KUNR Vehicle Donation was either very stupid, or willfully greedy. Our $25,500 classic vehicle donation was intended by us to be used by KUNR. Did someoone there instead divert our $25,500 classic vehicle to themselves?! I say to that KUNR Vehicle Donation employee who ripped off us and your employer KUNR: Just because something is being donated to your business doesn't mean you should take all of it for yourself. We will NEVER ever make another donation of any sort to KUNR. P.S. I mostly listen in the morning (it wakes me up) and I looked forward to hearing Michele Rivera greet me when I wake with her warm and friendly, "Good Morning!" along with weather and other local tidbits to start the day. If I am able to listen later, it is usually in the car, and I love having a local NPR station to catch up on news, both local and world. I also like the variety of voices, the Latin voices. it reflects my community and I wish more people would tune in. I've been supporting the station for almost 10 years will continue to do so.
