The doctor seemed kind, compassionate and knowledgeable during my one visit. We agreed to try a steroid injection to relieve pain, but if that didn't work, I'd likely need an MRI for further diagnostics. Seemed reasonable to me. Because I have to travel over an hour to his office, I didn't think it made sense to drive all the way there to tell him it didn't work and then have to schedule an MRI. So I called a couple of days before the appt. to cancel, explained why, and requested a script for an MRI. They said the doctor would call me back. One week later...nothing! And I followed up a couple of times. I have no idea why my call wasn't returned or why I couldn't just get the script. Extremely frustrating. The discomfort I have means I can't walk very far, so it's extremely important to my quality of life to get this resolved. I've given up and will start with a new doctor. In my limited experience, he seemed like a good doctor. But if you ever expect to need to contact him outside of an appointment, you'd better ask him what the secret to getting through is.
