So I left and came back at 2:50PM. No one. I called U-Haul (who I booked through) and they told me there was nothing they could do for me unfortunately because they didn't rent it to me, even though I used their app. So I came back and ran into 2 customers who were furious because they hadn't been able to contact anyone ALL WEEK to pay for their unit. Walked around to see if maybe they unlocked my unit since I did everything online? I couldn't even find a unit marked with my number! So I came back to the front office and wrote a note with my name, phone number, assigned unit number, and a brief message about how I would like a refund. That was Friday. It's Tuesday after business hours and I haven't heard anything so now I'm having to dispute it with my bank. Extremely unprofessional and the units were all dirty.

Of course I expected things to be awkward with some of the CDC guidelines and renting a van, but the employees and the general state of the place demonstrated no interest in quality or professionalism. No masks to protect customers (and themselves), slow service, office was a "shithole", manager had an attitude that reflected her crappy life and the other employees fit the stereotypical "backwoods idiot" character. I honestly don't have the energy to go into all the details about what was wrong with this place, but trust me when I say just go somewhere else to rent a Uhaul truck. I'm sure anywhere else would be better, unless that place was run by these idiots family members?! The only good thing I could possibly say about this place is if it was some sort of prison work release program then maybe that's good, but I would suggest keeping some prison guards around to maintain some cleanliness and order. They may also want to look into an education program on public health and the civic duty of wearing a simple mask during a global pandemic.
