Unfortunately you sit with the back to it so you have to turn around to look over to the autostadt and Volkswagen area. After our drink we went up to the roof top which is probably a cool place to be in the summer rather than sitting in the modernly furnished inside. Maybe the place is more crowded by young people in the summer time.

I was stretchered out of that spot on far too many occasions due to Michael's massif mix cocktails. He is serious about his work and passed his skills on to Maggi who has brilliant tekkers on the shaker. Try her Negroni, it is spot on. I still get the giggittys when I think about the night one of our friends was slightly worse for wear and decided to finish off with a B52. What we didn't realise was that he had never tried one before and had no idea of the protocol. He did at least have the nouse to blow it out but then ignored the straw and put it straight to his lips before we could stop him ... oy vey! ..... It took two jugs of beer to put his shirt out : O! Fachwerk is a class spot and it just gets better every time I go. It oozes ambiance and style with great decor and the music will most certainly make you feel like you just stepped into the Blue Marlin at Cala Jondal. Prices are good and the bar is always well stocked. Should you get hungry then they do have 'light food' but if you want something more substantial then immediately opposite is the brilliant Mango Fusion restaurant, so grab your cocktail and go sit outside and get Mango to bring your food over... This is one of the few spots where you're still allowed to smoke indoors, which is also the reason they don't serve food (except nuts and pretzels). The owner and bartender is always friendly and up for a chat!
